A Chinese vegetable ivory snuff bottle, 20th century, of waisted oval form, character signature in red, painted with two storks to the front and calligraphy to the back, 2½in. (6.4cm.) high; together with a horn snuff bottle of flattened curved tapering form with elongated cylindrical stopper, decorated to the front with repeating rows of turquoise and other stone cabochons, central calligraphy and stylized gilt borders, signed in red to base. Three Chinese soapstone carvings, probably 1st half 20th century, comprising a double vase with climbing monkeys and a goat and bird, in celadon stone with russet inclusions, 5 5/8in. (14.25cm.) high; a single vase with overarching peonies and a raven, in pale celadon, dark grey and buff stone, 4¼in. (10.8cm.) high; and a white a grey mottled stone carving of a crane in flight and a fir tree, 7in. (17.8cm.) high. (3)
A diamond solitaire ring, the round cut diamond weighing approximately 1ct and set in a 9ct yellow gold band. Ring size M. * Condition: The diamond has no chips or damage. Overall SI1, colour J-K. Very little fluorescence under UV. The stone has a small patch of cavity line inclusions near the girdle, which show on the surface and can be felt with a fingernail. There is a fine feather inclusion to the side and a small patch of mineral inclusions including tiny carbon spots in the same place. There is also a patch of cloud inclusions around one claw.
