A collection of silver,by Christopher Nigel Lawrence,comprising:a parcel gilt rose bowl,London 1985,of circular form, with pierced textured cover, 14cm diameter,a milk jug and sugar bowl, London 1983 and 1984,with textured handles,and a pair of parcel gilt salt and pepper shakers,London 1982,with textured necks,9.5cm high,all pieces numbered 88/10024oz (5)Christopher Lawrence (b.1936) served his apprenticeship with C J Vander between 1952 and 1958. He subsequently moved to the workshop of R E Stone where he won the first of multiple Jacques Cartier Awards. His career then continued with Gerald Benny. In 1968 he won the commission for Southend Civic Plate and this signalled the start of his own business. He undertook numerous commissions and, in 1973, The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths provided him with a one-man show. He continued working until 2011.

The slightly cushion shaped oval mixed cut sapphire, estimated as approximately 6.50ct, four claw set to a pierced collet with trifurcated shoulders, grain set with eight cut diamonds. An eight cut diamond, rub set to the base of each shoulder to a plain shank. Tested as approximately 18ct gold.Finger size N (approximately)
An early 20th century sapphire and diamond three stone ring,with a circular mixed cut sapphire double claw set to the centre with a scroll collet. An old European cut diamond claw set in a rex collet to each side, with two row under bezels and carved scroll shoulders. Tested as platinum.Finger size OAccompanied by a Gem and Pearl Laboratory report dated 09/05/2015 No. 11224, stating that the sapphire is a natural sapphire with no evidence of heat treatment.

An unusual single stone diamond 'photograph' ring, set in yellow and white metal, the flat bottom diamond with faceted girdle, set beneath with a photograph of a gentleman, the plain shank with hinged gold locket compartment to verso, the diamond approx 8mm x 7mm, the ring approx size O, approx 4.4g, together with a report from Nederlandsh Instituut voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek van Edelsteenen en Paarlen ststing the diamond to be 1.317ct. and dated 1943. CONDITION REPORT: Good condition, a number of small scratched to hinged cover at back.
