WILLIAM CROSBIE RSA RGI (Scottish 1915-1999) Asters Oil on board, signed and dated 1980 41cm x 31cm Provenance: Ewan Mundy Fine Art Limited label verso Note: Crosbie studied at Glasgow School of Art. A travelling scholarship took him to Paris where he studied History of Art at the Sorbonne and worked under the painter Leger. He made his name originally as a mural painter but also executed book illustrations, designed for ballet, and produced wood and stone carvings for churches. Private Scottish Collection.
