A George IV Irish 18ct gold pocket watch. Dublin 1818/19. The three-tone gold dial with applied gold Roman numerals, spade hands, chased foliate detail to the border, and subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock. The lever fusee movement with domed steel three armed balance, balance cock engraved with a mask and diamond set end stone. The top plate signed ‘L’Estrange Dublin 2537’. The case 5 cm diameter.
An Edwardian opal and demantoid garnet necklace. The fringe of fifteen graduated precious opal cabochons with small and bright demantoid garnets set between each stone, to three drops, two with knife edge connections, the central drop with single cut diamonds above. The largest opal 10 x 7mm. On a fine lnk chain, the bolt ring clasp stamped '15ct', 44cm long.
STANLEY PENN (Frances E Jammieson) A first quarter 20th century riverscape study, with stone bridge & views to distant Church at sunset on a Spring day, 50cm x 76cm, oil on canvas, signed in moulded gilt frame, sold together with another Loch & Mountain scape, similar size, also signed with matching frame (a pair)Condition report: Seems untouched since new, they are unlined, inscribed to canvas, left hand side says ‘Nr Worcester’, the surfaces are heavily crazed, a few marks to the surface and the one on the left, the canvas is a little loose, and you can see the stretcher line impressions, (no known provenance), frames a little scratched and tatty, most probably original.
