A COLLECTION OF CHINESE WHITE AND GILT-METAL HAIRPINS AND OTHER STONE ITEMS, LATE QING DYNASTY/20TH CENTURY. Comprising: Seven hairpins with carved agate, jade, enamel and gilt-metal mounts, two carved green hardstone pendants modelled as a seated Buddha and a turtle, with yellow metal mounts, a hardstone ring and three small discs (13)Some areas of old soldered repairs to hairpins, noticeably at reverse where the decorative ornament has been reattached to the pin, some rubbing to gilt metal and tarnishing. One hairpin with jade mount is chipped to jade with further decorative elements lacking. Turtle pendant with chipping to tips of feet. Overall some wear.
A GROUP OF TIBETAN CHINESE ITEMS. To include a Tibetan rock crystal box and cover decorated with filigree work and stone inserts; A white metal embossed snuff bottle decorated with monkey and bird floral scrolls with stone inserts to side and cover; Together with a carved agate pendant with carp in lotus pond. Box and cover 21.5cm tall. (3)Slight nick to top of finial on covers. Otherwise all in good overall condition.
A MIXED GROUP OF CHINESE ITEMS. To include a Scholar's rock of reddish porous rock on a carved wood stand; Two red and white Neolithic style glass figurine; A carved stone figure of Guanyin seated on lotus stand holding a ruyi sceptre; Together with a hollow cast bronze / brass seated figure of Buddha on a lotus base. 17 - 28cm tall. (5)Wooden stand to scholar rock with possible repaired sections. The other items in good general condition with surface wear only.
A COLLECTION OF CHINESE POLISHED HARDSTONE FRUITS AND OTHER ITEMS. Including: four early 20th century bunches of grapes in green, blue, purple and pink stones, eight assorted specimen stone eggs of which four have wooden stands, an onyx mushroom and an inkwell. Largest bunch of grapes 18cm long (14)The bunches of grapes have some wear and deterioration the tip of their wooden stalks and silk thread wire coverings. One of the green grapes is loose, blue grapes with chipping to one leaf. Some slight surface scratching and wear to stones. Overall in good order.
A PAIR OF CHINESE KINGFISHER, CORAL AND PEARL MOUNTED SHOU EARRINGS AND A SIMILAR PENDANT, CIRCA 1900. The gilt metal earrings formed as stylised Shou characters mounted with turquoise blue kingfisher feathers, suspending coral, seed pearl and pink beads, the beaded coral necklace suspending gilt-metal mounted kingfisher flowerhead and turquoise coloured pendant, the necklace 39cm longEarrings with some minor losses to Kingfisher feathers, the screw fittings are functioning. The pendant with similar small losses to kingfisher feathers, something missing and small area of damage from underside of turquoise coloured stone drop on pendant.
AN 18KT YELLOW GOLD AND PLATINUM TWO-STONE DIAMOND RING AND A YELLOW METAL AND THREE STONE DIAMOND RING. The first with brilliant cut claw set diamonds in entwined setting, stamped 18CT PLAT, approx. 02.ct, the second probably gold and platinum mounted three stone diamond ring, stamped AW2 EE SM, 1.1gms gross weight. Ring sized K and M.The three stone ring with some misshaping to the gold shank, the two stone ring in good order. Some slight wear and surface scratching overall.
A 9CT WHITE GOLD DIAMOND AND RUBY MOUNTED RING AND A 9CT WHITE GOLD DIAMOND AND BLUE STONE MOUNTED RING. Each hallmarked, the first with a ruby and diamond flowerhead on a pierced milled shank, the other with a blue stone and diamond claw set flowerhead, 2.9 gms gross weight. Ring sizes M and OThe ruby and diamond set ring with some tarnishing to white gold, each with some slight wear.
FOUR VARIOUS 9CT YELLOW GOLD STONE SET RINGS. Comprising: a diamond solitaire, a blue marquise stone flanked by diamonds, a diamond half eternity ring, and a diamond flowerhead set on a pebble cast shank, various hallmarks, approx. 3.8 grams gross weight. Ring sizes I/J/M/P.Wear overall, the ring with the pebble cast shank and diamond mounted flowerhead has been resized with a internal fitting, some misshaping to gold bands and poor casting to settings.
A CHINESE AGATE CARVING OF A STANDING BUDDHA, QING DYNASTY. The figure standing in flowing robes holding a rui sceptre. Mounted in a carved lotus form wood stand. 21.3cm total height.In good overall condition with no major damages or signs of repair to the stone or base. Natural darkening to the stone edges with natural cracking and minor holes.
A CHINESE CARVED SOAPSTONE SEAL, QING DYNASTY. Orange and red tones of boulder form carved in relief with dragon under a moon with a downward facing lion dog. Inscription to the back of the seal with ten-character seal mark to base. 9cm x 8cm.Overall good condition with no major losses or repairs. Minor hairlines in the stone only to note.
