Late Victorian natural ruby five-stone ring with five cushion-shaped faceted mixed cut natural rubies with rose cut diamond accents to the claws, in carved gold setting on plain shank. Ring size K. Accompanied by a Ruby Report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory stating that the rubies are natural rubies with no evidence of heat treatment CONDITION REPORT This ring is in excellent condition and the stones are in remarkably good order, no scratches, scuffs or chips. Natural inclusions. Largest ruby approximately 6.6mm x 6.2mm x 2.9mm. Four other rubies approximately 5.8mm x 4.7mm x 2.5mm; 5.7mm x 4.8mm x 3.1mm; 5mm x 4.4mm x 2mm; 5mm x 4.3mm x 2.5mm. All stones of good clarity and well matched with an even distribution / saturation of colour. Not hallmarked but probably 18ct gold. Circa 1900. Total gross weight approximately 5.03 gramsThe ring has been in the same family for three generations.

Accompanied by a Ruby Report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory stating that the rubies are natural rubies with no evidence of heat treatment, four of which are of Burmese origin and one of Thai origin CONDITION REPORT One minute chip to the girdle of one stone probably in cutting. The ring is in excellent condition and the stones are in remarkably good condition, no scratches or scuffs. Centre ruby measures approximately 4.8mm x 3.7mm x 2.3mm. The other rubies measure approximately 4mm x 3.8mm x 2.4mm; 4mm x 3.8mm x 2.7mm; 3.9mm x 3.8mm x 2.8mm; 3.8mm x 3.5mm x 2.7mm. Setting in very good condition, circa 1900, not hallmarked but likely to be 18ct gold. Total gross weight approximately 3.2 grams

Estimated SI1 clarity. Central sapphire approximately 5.5mm diameter x 3mm depth. Claws appear to have been re-tipped and setting in good condition. Four rose cut diamonds are missing. Chester hallmarks. Date letter for 1897, although the gold standard mark is lost / missing due to re-sizing. Probably 18ct. Total gross weight approximately 3.7 grams

Ring size G CONDITION REPORT Centre stone approximately 0.40 carats, measures approximately 4.6mm x 4.8mm x 3.1mm. Side stones approximately 0.16 carats each. Estimated colour H/I. Estimated clarity SI1. The setting is slightly skew, the ring has been rhodium plated and the shank is reverting to yellow gold. No hallmarks but partially marked - 18

Estimated total diamond weight approximately 0.50 carats. Ring size L CONDITION REPORT Peridot measures approximately 9.5mm x 7.5mm x 3.95mm. The facets are very worn and the stone would benefit from re-polishing. Diamonds are all old cut stones, well matched and of good colour and clarity. Setting and shank in good condition. Wear commensurate with age. The edge to the rub-over setting to one stone is noticeably more worn. 4.3 grams

Diamonds estimated approx. 0.30 cts each. H / I colour, I1 clarity, base of shank is worn and feels slightly sharp on inside edge. Sides of the setting are also worn, probably all due to the ring being worn alongside another ring / wedding band. Total gross weight approx 3 grams. Earrings- Each Emerald measures approx. 5.25 x 4.60 x 3 mm and 5 x 4.75 x 3.30 mm. Diamonds approx. 1.7 mm diameter, not hall marked, probably 14 or 18ct

A diamond solitaire ring, the brilliant cut stone six claw set in an 18 carat yellow and white gold single stone mount, 2mm wide shank and shoulders, approximate weight of diamond 0.70 carat, ring size O. The ring was retailed through the Goldsmiths chain of jewellers and registered with certification that states the diamond was mined in the Canadian Northwest Territories, the clarity is SI, colour H, the identification number is etched on the girdle. (The certificate is included with the ring).
