The marks are generally clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a very minor softening to the tines. Possibly erased and later engraved.
An Edward VII Silver Mustard-Pot and Cover, by the Guild of Handicraft, London, Probably 1906, cylindrical and on spreading base, the sides chased with foliage, the hinged cover with a cabochon stone finial, with overall hammered finish, with clear glass liner, weight of silver 5.7cm diameter, 1oz 12dwt, 50grCondition report: Marked near handle. The cover apparently unmarked. There is wear to the marks which are only just visible. The date letter is only half clear. There is overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as an overall softening to the decoration., The hinge has possible been repaired and so the cover doesn't close properly. The glass liner may be a replacement. There is a crack or inclusion to the cabochon finial.

There is also further relatively minor and sporadic areas of infilling to old cracquelure etc. Within the shadow, left-hand side edge and across the gate up to the horse. In addition to other small areas within the foreground in the main. Some surface dirt and discoloured varnish, various sized craquelure throughout. Minimal amount of rubbings to parts of outer edges.
