HANDMADE DIAMOND RING Generously donated by Alan P. Fulton Artisan Goldsmith Handmade 2 stone sky blue and white round brilliant cut diamond open cross over ring mounted in platinum and 18ct yellow gold. *Handmade refers to the forging of the shank and the individually constructed settings all from wrought metal. When insuring this should be noted and taken into consideration. The diamonds are set between the narrow wave shaped platinum band and the bulbous ended tapering 18ct. Yellow gold wire which passes through and under the platinum on one side. The white round brilliant cut weights 0.40ct, is 'F' colour, VS2 clarity (IGI cert 116410541) and the colour enhanced sky blue 0.07cts. Estimated Value: £4,115.00 Terms and Conditions: The ring cannot be exchanged for any alternative item. It is non refundable with no cash alternative. In the event that the ring requires to be resized, this can be agreed at time of pick up/once delivered. Pick up location: 14 Montgomery St, Eaglesham, Glasgow G76 0AS Delivery is to any UK address only. The initial resizing of the ring is free of charge if carried out by Alan P Fulton Jewellers. Thereafter any work requiring to be done will be chargeable. Any third party work will not be covered. MARTIN SMITH (born 1950); 'Stacked piece', redware, brick and yellow stone, coloured slip to interior, made 1982, diameter 27cm (max). Provenance: Purchased from The Craft Centre and Design Gallery, Leeds, 1986. Exhibited: Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam, Balance and Space: Martin Smith Ceramics 1976-96, 1996. The Curator of the Rotterdam exhibition wrote to Alan and Pat in July 1996: 'The bowl on the cut brick bars is the only one of its kind in the exhibition. The other two objects of this series, of which there were slides, have not surfaced'. CONDITION REPORT: Miniscule chip to rim, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
ROBERT FEATHER (born 1951); a hallmarked silver ring with large amber stone, ring size R. Provenance: Commissioned and purchased from the artist, 2003. An unusual acquisition as the Firth's claimed not to enjoy commissioning. CONDITION REPORT: Appears good with no obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
