A pear shaped Blue John pendant mounted in 9ct yellow gold with the reverse set with malachite. Made by David Scott Walker with Sheffield hallmarks for 1993. *Blue John is a rare semi precious stone found only in Castleton, Derbyshire. It is a type of fluorite with bands of purple, blue, grey and yellow. It has been highly prized for working into ornaments and jewellery. There is very little of it left in the mine now, and will become much sought after in years to come.
A blue and white diamond ring the central enhanced blue diamond is approximately 0.77cts set high on the ring shank in a three claw setting the arms of which are set to the outside with pave set brilliant cut white diamonds. On one side there is a panel of pave set enhanced blue princess cut diamonds and on the other a single row of white princess cut diamonds to an approximate total diamond weight of 2.24cts not including the central stone as above. Set throughout in 14ct yellow and white gold. Finger size O. Insurance valuation for $7000.
