Good quality mid-19th century snake bangle, the head with ruby eyes and pavé set turquoise cabochons, with further turquoise bands to the hinged body and forked tongue forming the clasp CONDITION REPORT Very good condition commensurate with age.Clasp and hinge work well. No damage or repairs. One small turquoise cabochon and one small red stone eye missing, to the head, one further Turquoise missing to the body. Tarnished/'bloom' finish in some parts of the gold bangle. Would appear to be gold rather than gilt metal. Acid test is not conclusive. From a deceased estate and has been in the same family for several generations. Inside measurement 59mm x 45mm. From the tip of the snake's tongue to the base of the head measures 22mm. Total gross weight 18 grams
