Note: Helge Eskild, b.1922, Danish painter, sculptor and graphic artist, pupil of Folmer Bonnén. From figural composing through an impressionistic period, especially with city compositions and later more abstractly composed forest paintings, Eskild has reached a purely non figural style in his paintings, partly in glowing colourization, partly in blue grey tones. His progression as an experimental artist can be seen in his sculpture in stone, wood, copper and decorative works like the enamel relief works made in cooperation with the enamel artist Sophie Eskild.
