Civil War. Articles for the Delivering Up of Lichfield-Close on Thursday the 16. of this instant July. Together with a List of the Commanders, Officers, and Gentlemen of Quality that were in the Close at the Surrender thereof. Also an Information of one Henry Stone, concerning some Private Discourse between him and Sir Tho: Tildesly. All which were sent in a Letter to the Honorable William Lenthal Esq. Printed for Edward Husband, Printer to the Honorable House of Commons, July 18. 1646, 12 pp., title within woodcut border, light soiling to final leaf, disbound, small 4to Provenance: 'Captain Morrell, Sept. 10', inscription to title, with his name underlined under 'Captaines' in the list of officers. Sir Thomas Tyldesly, Governor of Lichfield surrendered Lichfield Close to Parliamentary forces on 10 July 1646, in accordance with the King's royal warrant, after a four month seige. (1)
