A late 19th/early 20th century Chinese nephrite jade vase and cover, the sides of the flattened baluster shape incised with prunus and peonies growing on mountain sides between thunder scroll rim bands, the mythical beast handles nuzzling the neck, the stone of pale green, 23cm high with a wood stand (3)
A Rare Gothic Oak Sepulchre or Altar Table. The front having three panels; the central panel carved with the sacred monogram IHC and flanked by armorial shields pertaining to the Stanley family (dated by the Armorial Identification Service as made between 1386 and 1485). The upper & lower friezes ornamented with rows of tracery quatrefoils and foliated rosettes heading the tracery divides. Standing on a later plinth base with a replacement stone top 50 ins (128 cms) wide, 20 ins (51 cms) deep and 28 ins (71 cms) high.
