A CHINESE CALCIFIED JADE NOTCHED DISC of tri-foil form suggesting directional rotation, each foil with a notch group formed by two central teeth flanked by two slightly lower outer notches, the mostly calcified stone with turned shallow bands on each side and some mottled markings, the interior wall of the central aperture with an old collection number (143) and one side also with an collection label (76), Neolithic/Shang, 5"" dia. Provenance: The Collection of Dr. Julian Deveron Redmill (1916-1993), and thence by descent. Probably acquired on the London Art Market in the 1950`s. A Chinese Gilt Bronze Belt Hook, Han Dynasty, in the form of a coiled archaic dragon, the hook as another dragon`s head, inlaid with various hardstones including carnelian, turquoise, jade, lapis lazuli and chalcedony, 17.2cm long Sold with An Analysis and Metallorphy Report by Dr Peter Northover, Oxford University, concluding the composition of this belt hook can be paralleled in the Han Dynasty, but it is decidedly uncommon. However, the samples showed good evidence of natural long term corrosion so we may accept this belt hook as ancient and authentic. Some typical surface corrosion and wear, with minor chipping and losses to the stone inlay. 071014

The ring is in good condition. It is stamped `PLAT` and `18CT`. The diamonds measure; 5.49mm x 5.49mm x 3.41mm = 0.71ct and 5.51mm x 5.61mm x 3.43mm = 0.74ct. It is stamped `PLAT` and `950` and in our opinion it would test as platinum, with gold claws to the sapphire. The sapphire measures; 12.18mm x 10.06mm x 6.73mm. The ring is in good condition. It is hallmarked with sponsor`s mark `XM`, Birmingham. The clarity of the centre stone is I2/I3. An Aquamarine Necklace, circa 1860, graduated oval mixed cut aquamarines to the front of the necklace, in yellow claw settings, within cannetille borders, with a detachable cross, en suite, a fancy link chain to the back of the necklace, length 57.5cm, cross measures 4cm by 5cm NB the cross is missing the central stone Other than the missing stone this is in good condition. The loop which the cross hangs from may well have a later loop attachment. The chain to the back of the necklace is likely to be a later replacement also. The chain attaches to the aquamarine section by way of a hook and loop at one end, and a loop and bolt ring at the other. The cross attaches onto a hook. Gross weight 41.0 grams. An 18 Carat Gold Diamond Five Stone Ring, the old cut diamonds in claw settings, on a plain polished shank, total estimated diamond weight 1.00 carat approximately, finger size M The ring is in good condition. The claws are a little worn, and require attention. The ring is white coloured - but would be expected to be yellow given it`s age. Perhaps it has been given a rhodium plating to create this effect. If so, this will wear in time, or can be removed if that is the preference. The ring is hallmarked with an obliterated maker`s mark, Birmingham, 1902. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity I1/I2/I3. Gross weight 4.6 grams. CR made 9th September 2014

A Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1900, a fancy yellow old cut diamond within a border of white old cut diamonds, in white claw settings, on a closed back, to a yellow plain polished shank, total estimated diamond weight 1.50 carat approximately, finger size I1/2 Accompanied by a coloured diamond report from Anchorcert, stating the centre stone to be 0.93 carat and a natural diamond of natural fancy yellow colour. The ring is in good condition. It bears no hallmark, nor stamps, but in our opinion it would test as silver and gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI2/I1/I2. The clarity of the centre stone is assessed as SI2. Gross weight 5.0 grams. CR made 16th September 2014

A Pearl and Diamond Ring, the pearlescent centre stone with graduated eight-cut diamonds in the shoulders, on a plain polished shank, finger size P1/2 The ring is in good condition. The shank is a little thin at the base and a sizing mark is visible. It bears no hallmark, nor stamp, but in our opinion would test as platinum. The pearl stone may be a mother-of-pearl based piece. There is a junction line around the setting. It has not been analysed. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; caratweight 0.20, colour I/J/K, clarity SI2/I1/I2. Gross weight 8.6 grams. It is stamped `18CT`, and in our opinion it would test as gold. The diamond measures; 6.15mm x 4.78mm x 3.68mm. The girdle is nibbled. The approximate qualities of the diamond are; colour G/H, clarity SI1/SI2. Gross weight 3.0 grams. CR made 5th June 2014

A Victorian Emerald and Diamond Three Stone Ring, a square step cut emerald between two old cut diamonds, in yellow claw settings, to a plain polished shank, total estimated diamond weight 2.75 carat approximately, finger size T1/2 The ring is in good condition overall. The claws look a little worn, and may require attention. The shank is thinner to the base - possibly due to re-sizing. The emerald measures 8.01mm x 7.73mm x 4.41mm. The diamonds measure; 7.39mm x 6.28mm x 4.52mm = 1.46 carat approximately and 7.07mm x 6.02mm x 4.31mm = 1.28 carat approximately. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour K/L/M, clarity SI2/I1/I2. Gross weight 4.4 grams. CR made 31st July 2014

An Aquamarine and Diamond Three Stone Ring, the round brilliant cut aquamarine between two round brilliant cut diamonds in white claw settings, to a plain polished shank, finger size O Accompanied by a gemological report from the GIA, stating the centre stone to be a natural aquamarine The ring is in good condition. It is stamped `18K` and in our opinion it would test as gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; caratweight 0.10, colour J/K/L, clarity SI2/I1/I2. Gross weight 3.4 grams.
