A Victorian, Scottish, single stone Cairngorm, gold brooch of shield form, an oval mixed cut Cairngorm, rub set to a conical frame, decorated with repouss‚ thistle heads and leaves. Tested as approximately 15ct gold CONDITION REPORT: Some minor scratches to the table and crown facets of the stone.The pin hole that holds the jump ring connected to the safety chain is probably not original to the piece. Orginal `C` catch. The pin is a white metal, probably steel. It is probably a replacement. It has a kink near the hinge and a slight bend towards the tip.45mm x 39mm

All stones very bright and lively.A little wear to the claws at the shoulders, otherwise no obvious faults.

This means the edge of the ring is exactly in line with `N` on the ring stick, but the centre of the shank is over the M half. Probably a replacement stone, as it is a little too narrow for the setting, and has dropped slightly.Diamonds nice and bright.Has had a replacement half shank in the past, so the hallmark probably relates to that piece.

A Continental Art Deco diamond and hardstone bow brooch, with an old European cut diamond milligrain set to the centre to lines of calibr‚ cut onyx and stained agate. The bow loops with pierced laurel sections, milligrain set with rose cut diamonds to two rows of calibr‚ cut stones. The pin marked 750 CONDITION REPORT: Setting will require checking prior to being worn.Some of the calibre stone have been replaced in the past.
