BURSLEM INTEREST; an early 19th century ceramic jug with floral decoration and painted verse ‘Burslem Sunday School – for the education of children of all denominations, this stone was laid on the 24th day of October 1836 by Joseph Wood Superintendent, Samuel Mayer Secretary, Samuel Saint Architect, John Brooks’, signed JM and dated 1836 to the underside, height 20cm.Condition Report: Staining and crazing throughout, numerous chips to the glaze, glaze crazing throughout.
An Edwardian iron stone margarine butcher's half slab, width 42cm, depth 23cm.Condition Report: Scuffs, scratches and marks throughout, numerous craze lines to the body, there is a small hairline to the top right hand corner of the piece, a couple of glaze faults to the body bu good condition.
