Neolithic- Collection of stone age implements to include a small flint hand-axe head and four axe remnants. The small flint hand-axe is constructed from grey flint and was found on the Isle of Zealand Denmark. The axe remnants are constructed from various stones and were found in southern Germany. (5)

A PAIR OF GEORGE III GILTWOOD DEMI-LUNE CONSOLE OR SIDE TABLESCIRCA 1785Each with Sicilian jasper topseach 87cm high, 56.5cm wide, 44cm deep Condition Report: Marks, scratches and abrasions, old chips and splits commensurate with age and useGilding refreshed throughout but has age, there is wear to it in areas throughout and retains an 'antique' appearance to a degree. All timber elements appear original. The top are very likely associated to the bases. The bases are slightly unstable with the tops in position so are being kept off of the bases whilst on view. some later screws have been added to the interior side of the frieze to further secure the tops of the legs to the frieze. The top of the marble is veneered onto a stone base that may be granite. (see additional images) Please not that the side edges of the marble tops are painted to simulate marble and are not veneered. There are a number of old repairs to the marble of the top is rectangular sections. If screwed to the wall through the rear frieze, as has taken place previously (there are various old screw holes to the rear friezes) then the tables could be secure and stand firmly. Evidence of some re-gluing to lower leg joints with undertier. Each undertier has a neatly applied thin section of timber glued to the underside to secure. These have age but may be later. A PAIR OF GILT METAL MOUNTED MARBLE DISHESIN THE MANNER OF EDGAR BRANDT, EARLY 20TH CENTURYMounts stamped variously BL 52, 680each 7.5cm high, 20cm wide, 9cm deep It is likely that the stone used in these dishes is Alabastro di Busca, quarried from Busca, Piedmont, Italy. Condition Report: Minor scuffing, scratches and wear overall consistent with age.Discolouration and slightly rough surface to the gilt metal, chips and nibbles to the marble including to the edges, some pitting.Probable cracks and repair including filler to both, but this could just be the veining, although it does not run along the line of other veining.Please refer to additional images for visual reference to images.
