A SET OF FOUR LARGE STONE GARDEN URNS ON PEDESTAL STANDS 20TH CENTURY Slightly weathered composition sandstone, with continuous frieze of putti harvesting grapes above lobed bodies approximately 176cm high overall; urns 89cm high, tops 76cm diameter, bases with 74cm square tops and 87.5cm highProvenance:Ston Easton Park, Near Bath, Somerset Please note: there is an additional small plinth base for each garden urn that is not shown in the catalogue image. With these in position, the overall height is 176cm and not 157.5cm as shown in the catalogue.Condition Report: PLEASE NOTE- ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION STATES "approximately 157.5cm high overall; urns 89cm high, tops 76cm diameter, bases with 74cm square tops and 68.5cm high"- WITH ADDITIONAL PLINTH BASES THIS SHOULD READ;"approximately 176cm high overall; urns 89cm high, tops 76cm diameter, bases with 74cm square tops and 87.5cm high"Weathering with lichen and moss build up, and loss to surface detailing and to exposed edges, notably to the pedestals.Two of the stems have been restored, some signs of hairlines to at least two urns and the urn interiors with some losses.One plinth base with break to corner (see image).In common with most large urns of this type, weathering has caused variable loss to the foot-rim of the plinths resulting in some instability when positioned on flat, hard surfaces.Condition Report Disclaimer
