Attest Marchand, signiert A. Diena und G. Bolaffi. SBK 16/II. Provenienz: Hind und Burrus. Rayon II without framed cross, the exceptional block of twelve, unused with original gum, types 13-14-15-16 / 21-22-23-24 / 29-31-31-32, B1 stone, of delightful freshness with very large margins on all four sides, mostly displaying the frame lines between neighbouring adhesives. The great desirability of this item is further enhanced by the absence of imperfections (a tiny tear in margin of type 15 is of no importance), this being a most remarkable feature for this large multiple. The largest multiple recorded of the rare B1 stone of this extensively used stamp. (Sold for CHF 52'000 and presented as one of the most celebrated items of the Burrus collection in 1964; few years later this item was offered in an auction in London and now, circa 35 years later, this sale offers a wonderful opportunity to acquire this gem). A great gem of Swiss philately, representing a quintessential combination of beauty and rarity. Cert. Marchand, signed A. Diena and G. Bolaffi. SBK 16/II. Provenance: Hind und Burrus.
