After Benevenuto Cellini, a carved alabaster figure of Perseus with the head of Medusa, 19th century, height 79 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The right arm has been broken off at the elbow and reattached. The blade of the sword is a none marble replacement. The left hand holding Medusa's head has been broken off and reattached. There are small chips to his cloak. There are some small bruise marks about the size of a small finger nail to the top part of his left leg. There is a very fine line on the interior of the body running around the waist. The wings on the left hand side of his helmet have been replaced. A small section of the base has been reattached. There are small insignificant surface marks throughout. The wing in Madusa's head on the right has been broken off and reattached. His ring finger on his right hand has had a joint repaired. There is a thigh to knee striation mark within the stone running through his left leg. Regardless of the faults mentioned this still remains a rather impressive decorative looking object.
A pair of diamond daisy cluster ear studs, in yellow gold coloured setting. Diameter 8 mm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Both earrings are in structurally good condition with no evidence of any repairs or significant damage to the metalwork. The centre stone to one earring has two chips. One of the smaller stones also has an edge chip. The second earring has a scratch across one corner of the centre diamond and other very minor abrasions to the smaller stones.
A late 19th century diamond pendant, openwork design and set throughout with old brilliant cut diamonds with rose cut diamond point highlights, mounted in silver and gold. Diamond weight +/- 3.30 carats. Length 4.1 cm, in fitted case marked "Frazer & Haws, Regent Street, Piccadilly" (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The pendant was initially purchased at Bonhams in November 2009. The purchase price at the time was £3075. There is a certificate issued by Bonhams with the piece detailing the description. They also add that the diamonds have an estimated colour range of J-L and an estimated clarity of VS2 to I2. Please note this is not our opinion as we do not have this expertise. The pendant appears to be structurally very sound. We cannot see any evidence of any repairs. The centre stone has one small chip. There is some wear to the mounts between the claws on the centre stone. The stone is however not loose. The second tier stone at 11 o'clock is missing the small accompanying stone. There are no other missing stones but some do have very small chips
