A Hand Carved Marble Clock Carved in the Form of a Church Building, having two hand carved religious figures on each side, the clock being an apprentice piece initialled F.J. and dd 1804, approx 38 x 49 x 12 cms, on black marble base. Edward Jennings worked as a monumental mason in Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire. Latterly, he had his own Monumental Memorial business in Maidenhead, Berkshire. An example of his work can be seen on the verge outside the churchyard of St James the Less, Stubbings, Maidenhead, Berkshire in the form of a War Memorial. The stone cross was erected in 1920 and unveiled on 3rd October that year.
