A jade Carving of a Lotus, 19th century, pierced and carved with a flower, stems and leaves, the stone of pale grey-green, 8cm, stand, and Another, of a large bell-shaped flower with a bird and leaves, damaged, 6.5cm, stand (4) ????? ??????? ???????? ????, The lotus - a tiny chip to the uppermost leaf, otherwise no obvious faults. The vase - one third of base missing, cracks to the remaining part, plant stem missing.

A Shoushan stone Seal, early 18th century or later, of oval section and tall form, carved in a na‹ve style with houses and trees set amongst cliffs, the stone pale grey or toffee, engraved signature Yao Dian, the seal with six archaic characters, the seal reads `Xi Hua Chang Shi Wei Hua Chou (loving flowers, I always seek the sorrow of the blossom)`, 8.5cm ????????? ??? ???????®???????¯?? ??:? ?? ???, Tiny nibbles to corner rim of seal.
A good Shoushan stone Seal, 17th century, of rectangular section, carved with a chilong with head back turned, the stone of honey colour, the engraved signature Xitang is the style name of Gao Xiang (1688 -1753), one of the Eight Eccentrics of Yang Zhou, but is probably apochryphal, the seal translates as `hall of the wutong tree for phoenixes to perch on`, 3.9cm ???? ??? ????®???¯?????, No obvious faults.
An attractive Qingtian stone Seal, c.1900, the pale grey and dark grey mottled stele carved with lotus leaves, the seal in boyi (shallow carving) with five archaic characters, 7cm The couplet was written by Prince Regent Zaifeng (father of Puyi, the last emperor) when he retired. In full it reads, ÉI have my books - this the true wealth and status! No need to serve petty gods and immortalsÉ. ??1900? ?????????®?????¯?? , Some small nibbles on rim of seal base. Otherwise no obvious faults.
An unusual Shoushan stone Seal, Republic period, the thin flake of honey coloured stone well engraved with scholars under a pine, the moon rising above a jagged mountain behind, the reverse with a viewing house atop a crag with five cranes coming in to land above twelve characters, the seal reads `yi yan li hua yu`, greatest depth, 11cm, Made by Luqiao Yong (courtesy name of Zhang Dayong) of Wumen ( Suzhou) on the auspicious day of a fortunate month in the year Jiwei. Opting for this date of the cyclical system would fit well with the style of the carving. ?? ?????????®?????¯? ??:?????? ?????? , Small chip tp peak of mountain. Otherwise no obvious faults.
A Qinqtian stone Seal, mid 19th century, of tall rectangular section topped by a hoop, one facet with twenty one character inscription, the seal: Èwu weiÉ, 6cm The seal translates as imageless (the state of pure being in which no phenomena have appeared). The side inscription translates as `One who is competent has things that he does, but applying the mindset of Êdoing nothingË he does them without application of mind. Done by Shifan (courtesy name of Zhong Quan) Zhong Quan (1816-1886)`. ??????? ????®??¯?? ??:????? ??????????? ?????, Three tiny white blemish marks on rim of seal. Otherwise no obvious faults.
A large jade gui, 20th century, the cylindrical body with a band of stylised birds on diaper, between high-relief studs, the sides with archaic dragon and tongue handles, the grey/green stone with brown inclusions, 23cm , lots of abbraissian and cut marks to interior base of bowl, tiny but smooth chips to rim.
An unusual celadon-ground Vase, early 19th century, painted in underglaze blue with the `Hundred Boys` at various pursuits including bird fancying, lighting fireworks and the legend of Sima Guang, and enhanced in bright enamels and gilding with flowers, butterflies, birds and fruit, the neck with seeded blue dragon handles, slight wear, 62.3cm Sima Guang was a Song sage who, in his boyhood, had saved a young companion who had fallen into a large jar, by smashing it with a stone. While frequently found on Kakiemon, Chelsea and Meissen, it is uncommon on Chinese porcelain. ?????? ??????????????, Losses to gilded decoration. Some small areas of enamel loss.
A Chinese ornamental jade Group, late Qing dynasty, carved in 18th century style with a vessel amongst leafy branches of Buddha`s finger citron with large and small fruits, and with a feng perched on a lingzhi, the head turned back and biting on a branch of peach, the stone of green-grey tone with russet speckling, one chip, 16.5cm, silver wire-inlaid hardwood stand (2) This scholar`s desk object may have originally had a cover on the vase - or it may have been intended as a brush pot. ?? ????????, Chip to one frond of a fruit tendril, a hairline inclusion running laterally through the base of the carving. Vessel probably lacking a cover. Brown discolouration. Some slight abrasions and some sharp edges. Stand has missing end section and large deposits of soft composition (possibly to stick jade to stand). Possibly some old repairs, but hard to tell.
A hardstone Table Screen, late 19th century, the pale green bowenite slab well onlaid with various colourful stones with rocks, flowers and leaves, 15.4 x 10.6cm, wood stand ?????? ??????????, One bracket to stand repaired. Bottom right hard stone chipped. One small twig missing on the left hand side.
