Ancient Greek alabaster alabastron, Classical Period, Circa 5th - 4th Century B.C. , the elongated body with elegant vertical banding of the stone, with twin lug handles and a wide rim, 24cm high. Together with a letter dated 1908 detailing "My Dear Mr Lee, I send herewith the Ancient Alabastron which was found in a tomb in Greece, and which is probably over 2,000 years old. I got it at Thebes....." the letter ends with the sentence "There are a few of these ancient alabastron in the British Museum, but none better than the one I sent you. Believe me, Yours faithfully R. Caton"

The exterior paintwork is Silver Metallic over a very dark Ruby Metallic Garnet which appears almost black in certain light and the luxurious handcrafted leather interior is finished in a colour that could be described as Cotswold Stone, a tasteful and beautiful combination. This Rolls-Royce features an impressive options list including; TV function, mobile phone prep, Walnut-veneered instrument panel, upper two-tone paint, blue chrome option, parking AC, cameras front & rear and 21'' aluminium wheels.Today this Phantom VII Saloon appears in superb order and the unique colour combination is spectacular. The car formed part of a significant private collection and is offered 'as is' with the last MOT expiring on 10 January 2020. Triumph's TR3, quintessentially British and era-definingThe TR3A was never officially badged as such and was, in fact, a minor revision of the TR3Updates included a new wide grille, exterior door handles, lockable boot and a full tool kitEx-California car. The best we have ever seenOffered from the Anthony Hamilton Collection is, without doubt, one the finest TR3As available anywhere today and a past Autoglym Gold Champion in the nineties. It was re-imported from California in 1988 with the intension of creating the ultimate Concours-winning Triumph TR3A and that appears to have been the result.The Northern TR Centre were entrusted with the car's restoration, ideally using as many of the original parts as possible. It was converted to right-hand drive and the chassis was fully restored and refinished in two-pack gloss black to a very high standard. The engine was fully rebuilt including new liners and pistons and the crank reground. The immaculate paint finish is Dark Racing Green, the interior has been superbly retrimmed in BRG-piped Stone leather with matching carpets and all the instruments were rebuilt. The engine bay is immaculate, almost showroom fresh and the silver-painted, sixty-spoke wires are wearing a decent set of Michelin 155/15 tyres.The quality of this restoration is remarkable and this benchmark 3A features in Bill Piggott's book, "The Original TR2, 3 & 3A". Woman and child seated on a stone, pen, brown ink and brown wash on pale cream laid paper, with arched top, laid down on later thick backing paper, some small losses to left hand margin, collector's mark to lower left corner (Lugt 629), 260 195 mm (10.25 x 7.7 ins)Qty: (1)NOTESProvenance: Richard Cosway (1740-1821), English miniature painter and watercolour artist; Collection of Michael Jaffé CBE (1923-1997), English art historian and director of the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge. According to a handwritten inventory of the contents of Cosway's house at 20 Stratford Place, drawn up in 1820, his collection of 2,672 drawings were arranged by artist, subject and dimensions in 29 portfolios, books and boxes (see note in Lugt online).

Portrait of Sarah Bernhardt as Empress Théodora, circa 1920-1930, watercolour and gouache on milk glass, three-quarter length portrait of a lady wearing a lavishly embroidered and beaded gown, depicting bees and other decorative motifs, and an ornate jewelled headdress with crescent moon, her head silhouetted against a gold-edged blue disc, seated on a carved stone throne with animal heads, before patterned purple drapes, 19.8 x 14.3 cm (7.75 x 5.5 ins), framed and glazedQty: (1)NOTESProvenance: Collection of Jack Webb (1923-2019), London. An exquisitely detailed portrait, evidently by an accomplished artist, of the actress Sarah Bernhardt, who played the role of the Empress of Byzantium in Victorien Sardou's Théodora written especially for her. The play was a huge success in 1884 and was renowned for the opulence of its costumes and set.

Landscape with bridge over river, oil on wood panel, depicting a shallow stony river and stone bridge, with trees and cottages, against a background of hills, 18 x 24.2 cm (7 x 9.5 ins), gilt moulded frame bearing artist's name and dateQty: (1)NOTESSir Robert Frankland-Russell, 7th Baronet, was M.P. for Thirsk in Yorkshire between 1815 and 1834, and High Sheriff of Yorkshire in 1838. He was a keen and accomplished artist, following in the footsteps of his father, a watercolourist who had studied under John Malchair. A series of Sir Robert's comic hunting scenes were reproduced as engravings in Indispensable Accomplishments published in 1811, a work which directly inspired Henry Alken Senior.
