Brass bound blue polished steel cladding to cylinders high pressure 1in bore and low pressure 1 3/4in bore each with three cast iron ringed pistons stroke 2 3/4in floor mounted start/stop valve. Fish bellied connecting rods with taper wedge adjustment 8in by 4in 18 groove flywheel with hard barring holes fitted with individual wedge shaped windage boards keyed to crankshaft. Main bearing pedestals big end bearing and eccentric straps all with sight feed drip lubricators. Bevel gear drive cam shaft to operate drop valve gear. Gear driven porter type governor with hydraulic damper and overspeed trip safety latch adjustable ballast weight for speed control governor controls HP index valves studded stuffing box glands on piston rods low pressure cylinder driven Edwards type air and condensation extractor pump with adjacent jet condenser fitted with tail slide manual adjustment on low pressure inter trip valves. All mounted on a cast alloy base simulated stone base with a floor finished grey maroon and red. Base board 76cm by 61cm pressure gauges boiler 0-120psi low 0-80psi and vacuum 0-30.
