Worksplate Beyer Peacock (Hymek) Ltd., serial number 8002 Manchester 1963. Ex Class 35 Type 3 locomotive D7098. Introduced January 1964 to Laira depot, withdrawn December 1972 from Newport and cut up Swindon in March 1975. Unfortunately it was damaged on the left side and also top right bolt-hole. However, it is the one survivor from this loco regardless and is ex loco. Comes with a small brass Transmission Plate 'Stone - Maybach Mekydro Transmission' measuring 5¼" x 2¼" approximately. A nice pairing.
VICTORIAN ENAMEL AND PEARL BROOCH, c. 1880, the oval black enamel brooch centred by an eight pointed star set with half pearls, glass locket reverse (a/f), brooch pin fitting; a brooch modelled as a walking cane and a purple paste and gilt metal brooch, the step-cut central stone within an undulating border with flowerhead detail and purple paste drop. A George IV Scottish silver twin handled cup, maker's mark 'AE' (not traced), Edinburgh 1824, of campana shape with reed and leaf scroll handles issuing from bacchic masks, an embossed laurel band and a lobed base, on a circular lobed and reeded foot, engraved with a crest with motto 'Felicem Reddit Religio' and a presentation inscription, 25cm (9.75in) high, 1123g (36 oz). The inscription reads 'Presented by the Members of the Stockbridge Mill Company to Mr. Willm. Miller An approving testimony of his unremitting attention to their interests 28 January 1825'. The crest and motto of MILLAR of Scotland. Stockbridge is a district of Edinburgh north west of the New Town and was the location of a pedestrian bridge over the Leith until a stone bridge was opened in 1786. It remained, however, a small village with a few cottages and mills until after 1813
A single strand of graduated pearls, composed of fifty four 4.7mm to 7.0mm pearls, to a diamond three stone clasp, collet mounted with cushion shaped old brilliant cut diamonds, approximately 1.90 carats total, 36cm long overall. Offered for sale with a Gwilym M Jones Certificate dated 23rd September 2008, No 1089/26 stating the pearls to be natural pearls
