Metal is tarnished and slightly bent in places. The top -turquoise stone is chipped and is very dirty with various scratches. The spoon is slightly bent. The metal surrounding the turquoise has a split to it and is slightly bent. The base with various scratches throughout. Some splits to one of the feet. All over various general signs of wear and tear throughout

A 19th Century Chinese porcelain cylindrical snuff bottle, polychrome decorated with figures in an interior, 7.5 cm high, together with a Chinese porcelain snuff bottle, polychrome decorated in high relief with battle scenes, with carved hard stone stopper, 8.8 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Cylindrical bottle with drip or indentation to rim, presumed firing fault, some minor blemishes to the glaze, otherwise paintwork reasonably intact. Some wear to the base, chip to the inside of the foot together with an associated English silver snuff spoon, hall marks, finial missing, relief work decorated piece with figures rising upon a striped elephant and various other figures around, together with further figures on the back of lions or dogs of faux verso. Gilding worn to rim with chips all around rim. The whole piece appearing dirty. Foot with wear and minor chippings - see images for further information. Spoon of bone with cork and modern or later jade bead finial

A 19th Century Chinese porcelain scent bottle, enamel decorated with two birds and willow and rocky coastal landscape verso flanked by mask ring handles, together with a green hard stone stopper, signed to base, 7 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Colours goos, enamel work basically sound though with some loss to the rock to the left hand side opposite the birds in flight. Large crack running from base of rock all the way around inbetween the two birds through the other side almost meeting at the base of the bottle, running round and connecting beneath the handle, suggesting a large breakage and repair, othjerwise with dirt and minor surface wear conducive with age and use. Stopper appears intact though with plaster attached to the cork to enlargen - see images for further information

A Chinese carved hard stone snuff bottle decorated with figure upon a lotus flower with coral bead stopper, raised on a wooden stand, 8.5 cm high (including stand) CONDITION REPORTS Various nibbles and chips round the rim, light scratches to the body. Hard to tell if there is a crack or a fault to the stone running in front of the figure's face. The body has been stuck onto the foot, the spade with various nibbles and chips. Coming loose from the cork and the cork has been stuck onto the lid with araldite. Various scratches to the top. Small nibbles. All over various general signs of wear and tear.

A 19th Century Chinese ruby overlaid glass scent bottle decorated with figures amongst prunus blossom with hard stone stopper, 6.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS To the green top some small nibbles and scratches. The green band below the green top has some losses and cracks and small chips. The bottle has nibbles and chips around the rim. Some pitted type marks, all over scratches and small nibbles. Remnants of paper label to the base. Lid is very loose fitting to the top

Lot 331

JOHN SQUIRE OIL & WAX PAINTING - entitled "Jesus and Mary" and created in 2007 by Squire for his Smithfield Gallery "New Work" exhibition. The oil and wax on canvas piece measures 70"x54". When Squire talks about his early Stone Roses artwork he notes: "I was also listening to a lot of Jesus And Mary Chain at the time and wanted to emulate some of their sounds and also express it visually and the splatter paints seemed the best way to do it." Information on the piece can be found at PROVENANCE: previously owned by Alan McGee (of Creation Records) and purchased direct from John Squire. It was later sold at Omega Auctions Nov 2011 sale for £8,000 to the current vendor.
