A fine Japanese hardwood and shibayama two fold table screen, finely pierced and carved with chrysanthemums and each inset with shibayama panels (one on ivory and two on gold lacquer) all finely inlaid carved mother of pearl and hard stone with doves, quail, finches, and flowering branches, the reverse decorated in gold lacquer, butterflies, and various cartouche.
