Frederick James Partridge (1877-1942) A plique-à-jour purple sapphire & green garnet set brooch. The high purity gold scroll design brooch with blue plique-à-jour and green enamel decoration, set with three oval cut purple sapphires and a shield shaped cabochon green garnet, width 40mm, 10.15g. From the estate of Ella Naper (1886–1972). Ella Naper attended the Camberwell School of Arts & Crafts from 1904 to 1906. There, under the jeweller Frederick James Partridge, she learned a wide range of techniques for working in metal, wood, and enamel. In 1906 she went to Branscombe, Devon, where Partridge rented some cottages for his students. Here she met Charles Naper. This jewel is believed to be a gift from Fred to Ella.Frederick James Partridge (1877-1942) was a jeweller from Barnstaple, North Devon. He attended the Birmingham School of Art and worked at the Barnstaple Guild of Metalwork, the Guild of Handicraft at Chipping Camden and the Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts in London. In 1910, Partridge set up a studio in Dean Street where he designed for Liberty & Co. among others. He showed a strong Art Nouveau influence in his jewellery and his use of plique-à-jour enamel was particularly notable for an Arts and Crafts jeweller. Examples of his work can be seen at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. The purple sapphires have various small nibbles to the surface and edges. The left sapphire has a girdle chip which can be seen by the eye. The green centre stone has two line inclusions, one is slightly present on the service. We believe these are natural and not cracks. The enamel is good. The metal is good.
A Victorian high purity gold (tests 18ct) diamond, green stone and black enamel heart locket brooch. The central green cabochon hardstone surrounded by 42 multi shaped old cut diamonds within compartments separated by black enamel lines, the edge of the brooch with kidney shaped green hardstones, the reverse with a glazed compartment, 24 x 22mm, 6.39g.One kidney shaped green stone is cracked down the middle. All diamonds are present. The glass on the locket is cracked and needs replacing.
A Victorian 18ct diamond set cluster ring. The central claw set old European cut diamond of 0.15ct approximately, surrounded by eight smaller diamonds of 0.07ct approximately, Birmingham 1889, size O, 2.57g.One stone has a crack on the edge. Another has a carbon spot. These are not noticeable to the naked eye. The stones are evenly matched in colour but the cuts are slightly different on each stone. The diamonds are bright. Some of the claws are worn, but the stones are all still well set.
A Vivianna Torun for Georg Jensen sterling silver Amazonite set pendant bracelet. The bracelet with stamped marks, signed TORUN and numbered 205, the pendant with similar stamped marks and numbered 134, the oval cabochon amazonite measuring 29 x 22mm, pendant length 47mm, total weight 22.2g.On the front of the pendant, the stone has a tiny edge chip at the 4 o'clock position and a tiny line, which could be a minor crack. Barely noticeable to the naked eye. The rest of the stone front and back has surface scratches. The metals are very lightly scratched but good. Overall good vintage condition.
An early 20th-century cultured pearl four-row bracelet with diamond set clasp. The four rows each with 24 pearls measuring 5.2mm, the circular gold foliate scroll open-work clasp set with old mine cut diamonds, the centre stone measuring 0.30ct approximately, diameter of clasp 29mm, length of bracelet 18cm.The diamonds are good. No cracks or chips visible. The diamonds are evenly matched for colour, white and bright. The metal is good. The pearls all have good lustre and are evenly matched.
An early 20th century 18ct diamond set three stone ring. Of crossover design, the centre cushion cut stone weighing 0.25ct approximately flanked by stones of 0.15ct approximately, the shoulders set with six small diamonds, stamped 18ct, size Q, 3.42g.The central diamond is 3.9mm, depth 2.7mm. The flanking stones are 3.3mm diameter and 3.4mm approximately.The diamonds are white, bright and eye clean.
Two 19th-century, possibly Georgian, garnet set brooches. One is a pendant brooch in white metal, set with nine pearls, and with closed back settings, length 63mm; the other is in gilt metal and with a centre mother-of-pearl set roundal, with closed back settings, width 58mm, weight 40g.The large oval brooch has had the pin soldered on. Probably not original. Some stones are scratched. All slightly nibbled. The pendant brooch has lead soldering on the backs of the stone setting, which may indicate that it they are brooch is made of adapted attachments. Three stones chipped. All have tiny nibbles.
An early 20th century graduated natural saltwater and cultured pearl necklace set a 1ct old mine cut diamond. The 110 pearls graduating from 4mm to 7.5mm, the diamond pave set daisy head clasp with a central principle old mine cut stone of 1ct approximately, surrounded by eight smaller stones of 0.10ct and 55 smaller stones, clasp diameter 20mm, length 66cm. With Gem & Pearl Labratory report which states that 40 beads are cultured and the remainder are natural saltwater.More images are now online.

One in white gold with a half hoop set with three rows of brown diamonds, size O, another with green stones in a crossover design with eight small yellow diamonds, size N 1/2, and a green stone ring, the shoulders with small green diamonds, size N 1/2, 7.1g.
An early 20th century gold and platinum Edna May diamond set pendant necklace. The two knife edge bars with two collet millegrain edge round cut diamonds measuring 0.06ct and 0.04ct approximately, terminating in a nine stone daisy cluster with millegrain edge, the centre stone 0.04ct and surrounding stones 0.03ct approximately, head diameter 8.5mm, length of pendant 30mm, length of chain 45cm, 3.16g.
An early 20th century 18ct gold five stone diamond ring. The principle Old European cut diamond of 0.80ct approximately, flanked by two smaller diamonds each of 0.50ct and two 0.15ct approximately, in a scroll carved setting, size L 1/2, 3.84g.The stones are white and bright. They are eye clean. The large stone has a small nibble to the girdle and a line inclusion under the table. Some inclusions on each stone but no obvious dark carbon spots. One medium size stone has a nibble to the girdle. The small end stones are diameter 3.3mm and 3.5mm approximately. The settings are secure.
An 18ct (tested) pink sapphire set ring. The oval cut stone measuring 8.5 x 6.2, depth 3.3mm, within a collet setting with pierced sides, size O 1/2, 2.6g. We do not test for treatment on stones and the buyer must satisfy themselves as to whether the stones are natural, and their origin. The stone is included throughout and has a feather inclusion under the table. These can be seen by the naked eye. measurements of the stone in description.
An early 20th century platinum amethyst and diamond set pendant. The briolette-cut amethyst suspends from an open-work millegrain five diamond-set cap, the largest stone 0.03ct, with a further tiny diamond to the bale, length 45mm; on a 925 silver chain.The length of the amethyst is approximately 35mm. The length including bale is approximately 45mm.The amethyst has tiny chips to the girdle and some tiny chips to the facets. These can only be seen with a x8 loupe.
