The largest ruby measures approximately 5.5mm x 4.2mm x 2.5mm, and graduate: two approximately 4mm x 3.8mm and two approximately 3.8mm x 3.5mm. The rubies are believed to be natural rubies from Thailand and probably heat treated. Not hallmarked. Gross weight approximately 3.35 grams.
Unusual diamond and gold combination ring and bracelet, the ring composed of eight square sections which unfold to form a bracelet, the pavé set diamond oval bezel forming the clasp.The square profile makes it difficult to be precise about the finger size but it does appear to fit a finger size P. Good condition, the mechanism works well. The diamonds are all lively bright well matched stones, the central stone is slightly loose. Not hallmarked but probably continental and possibly 14ct. Weighs approximately 19.7 grams.

Marks are legible. There is an additional separate side panel.

(13.5 x 26cm.)Located off Martinique, Diamond Rock was fought over by the French and British and changed hands several times. In 1803 Admiral Sir Samuel Hood captured it and designated it as H.M.S. Diamond Rock - a stone frigate which therefore required the saluting rights of passing naval vessels. Admiral Villeneuve was ordered by Napoleon to recapture the rock which, after a blockade, he achieved in June 1805. Slight fading with foxing.
