Three-stone ring with circular emerald and diamond brilliants in 18ct gold, 1977, size K½. Condition Report Some wear, emerald scuffed. The emerald is circular facet-cut - similar to mixed-cut diamond - quite nice colour though not particularly clear. Some rubbing to the edges of facets, but doesn't need re-cutting entirely. The diamonds are each approximately .2ct, colour H/I V.V.S (tiny crystalline inclusion in the centre of each - hardly visible with 10x lens).

Lot 834A

A Liberty & Co style reconstituted stone sun dial, the bronze sundial to the top engraved 'Liberty & Co Ltd', on an Arts and Crafts style column with wording 'I make the passing hour as the shadows come and go', each side decorated with one of the four elements, on square base, 110cm high. Provenance: Nottinghamshire country house garden for the past 40 years. CONDITION REPORT: The column is heavily weathered throughout with some loss of definition of the letting and detailing. There are some old chips to the top of one of the moulded arches and a few smaller chips at the top edge also. The base has other losses, particularly to one corner. There is one inch thick layer to the underside of the base which may not be original and there is a line in the moulding of the base, close to one of the corners, which may be an old repair or mould mark (please see additional images) There are darker marks to the moulding here and there, green marks and some moss residue.

A Victorian mine cut diamond set brooch (converted from a clasp), the oval brooch set throughout with graduated mine cut diamonds, all set in yellow gold, 3.5cm wide, weight 6.3gms, within fitted 'Oldfields Ltd' case CONDITION REPORT: Overall dimensions 3.5cm x 1.4cm Central stone VERY approximately 1.00ct, but difficult to gauge as all mine cuts, very deep and irregular in shape and size. Probably a conversion from an earlier clasp, some minor surface scratching and wear commensurate with age but overall condition is good. Some black spots are visible with a 10x loupe to several of the diamonds. From a private Cheshire family.

It is not hallmarked or stamped, valued as platinum. The ring is accompanied by a GIA Gemological Report Ruby Origin Report by the Gemological Institute of America, GIA Report 6173695030, dated July 15th, 2016, stating that the ruby weighs 2.89 carat, geographic origin: Burma (Myanmar), with no indications of heating. The ruby measures 9.81mm x 7.54mm x 4.42mm as per the GIA report. The ruby is of pink red colouration. There are usual inclusions, fairly heavily included with some surface reaching fractures to the table. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour H/I, clarity SI1/SI2.
