Condition: The ring is in overall good condition. The back of the ring is quite thin, the diamonds vary in quality the central is quite cloudy and appears hazy. There are easily visible inclusions to the outer diamonds, some of the claws are quite worn. Ring size O.

A ruby and diamond cluster ring, the oval ruby within a surround of old European cut diamonds and further single cut diamond detail to each shoulder. Estimated total old European cut diamond weight 0.46cts, colour H-I, clarity SI1-SI2. Stamped 18K. AF. Condition: The ring is in overall good condition. There are slight scratches to the ring shank, minor wear. The ruby is a fairly deep red, there are some fractures running across the ruby visible with magnification, these fractures slightly affect the light transmission through the stone. The outer diamonds are fairly nice and bright. Ring size M1/2.

An 18ct gold single stone diamond ring, the brilliant cut diamond is in a four claw setting. Estimated diamond weight 1.25cts, colour J-K, clarity P2. Condition: The ring is in overall fair condition. There are quite serious scratches to the ring shank, general wear. There are easily visible inclusions to the diamond that are dark in colour, the claws are a little worn. Ring size K.

A 9ct tri-colour gold owl and pussy cat brooch, in the form of a boat the cat paddling with an owl playing a guitar. Based on the Poem by Edward Lear `The owl and the pussycat`. Weight 11.73gms. Condition: Overall condition good. Slight tarnishing to the sail in one place and pitting to the flag pole in one place. Possible one stone deficient from the centre of the owls guitar.

Lot 197

An 18ct gold and platinum mounted three stone ruby and diamond ring, the central oval ruby flanked by brilliant cut diamonds. Estimated total diamond weight 0.30cts. Condition: Overall condition fair-good. The ruby has a pinkish red hue with a fairly even saturation of colour. It does have typical inclusions-one is surface reaching and spreads across the table and kite facets of the stone. The diamonds are bright and well matched. the hoop has worn thin in keeping with wear next to another ring.

A single stone diamond ring, the square step cut diamond set in a simple claw mount. Accompanied by a report from the Gem A stating the diamond weighs 1.01cts, colour G, VS1 clarity. Report number 0013013, dated 25th November 2004. Condition: The ring is in overall good consition. Minor surface wear in keeping with general wear, the scratches and more noticeable to the back of the ring shank. The diamond is nice and bright and the claws are secure. Ring Size UK-K.

Three stone set rings, to include an 18ct gold emerald and diamond ring, the square cut emeralds interpaced by princess cut diamonds, a 9ct white gold seven stone sapphire and diamond ring and one other similar ring. Weight 3.5gms and 4.7gms respectively. Condition: Overall condition fair-all of the rings have incurred wear in keeping with being worn. No stones deficient, the emeralds display typical inclusions and have minor surface abrasion. The sapphires are a dark blue colour.

Condition: Overall condition of the collection of rings-fair. All have incurred wear to the mounts, the stones have also been abraded and one opal is deficient.

Three 18ct gold diamond set rings, to include an early 20th century ring, the old European cut diamond within a folded cross design, a three stone ring, each old European cut diamond within a star setting, hallmarks for Birmingham and one other cluster ring. Weight 10gms. AF. Condition: Condition of two rings-fair. Hoops on both are split, the diamonds on the three stone all have chips to the table. The single stone ring is in good condition, minor surface scratches to the gold hoop in keeping with the age of the ring.

A sapphire and diamond up finger ring, with a claw set circular sapphire and old European cut diamond interspaced by further diamond detail. Estimated total old European cut diamond weight 0.35cts, colour I-J, clarity SI2-P1. AF. Condition: The ring is in overall fair condition. The setting is extremely tarnished and blackened with areas of greening, the diamonds appear tinted brown some with scattered white inclusions. The sapphire is opaque with angular colour zoning running diagonally across the stone, some of the claws are quite worn and would need attention. Ring size L1/2.

Condition: The ring is in overall good condition. There are scratches to the back of the ring shank in keeping with general wear, the inner hallmark is nice and clear. The diamonds are nice and bright, the settings may need to be checked. Ring size K.

Estimated principal diamond weight 0.65cts, colour I, clarity P1. Engraved PLAT. Condition: Overall condition good, with surface wear and scratches in keeping with general wear. The central diamond has inclusions visible under magnification and a large internal fracture which is very close to the surface. The diamonds in the shoulder are quite bright considering their size and setting. The ring shank is thinning slightly at the back. Ring size J.

The coral is possibly dyed. Light scratches, scuffs and bruising can be seen to many of the other items.

Lot 271

A single stone diamond ring, the brilliant cut diamond is in a six claw setting. Estimated diamond weight 1.50cts, colour H-I, clarity P1. Condition: The ring is in overall good condition. There are slight scratches to the ring in places, slight wear. There are fractures running throughout the diamond, some surface reaching, the fractures are visible with the unaided eye. There are inner ball sizing aids to the inside of the ring shank. Ring size K.

Two early 20th century stone set brooches, to include a 9ct gold open work scroll design pedant set seed pearls and a pear shape amethyst drop also a circular brooch set with garnet, emerald and seed pearl within open bar detail. Weight 5gms. Condition: Both pendants are in overall good condition. Light scratches, dents and scuffs can be seen, general wear. The emeralds are heavy abraded. The seed pearls are grey. Blisters and blemishes can be seen many of the pearls.

Lot 275

A Victorian hardstone cameo brooch, circa 1860, the circular hardstone cameo depicting a Roman soldier with bead detail to the setting. Diameter 2.8cms. Weight 6gms. Condition: The brooch is in overall good condition. The hard stone cameo will need a clean. The circular border is off round. Bruising can be seen to the reverse of the brooch. The outer twisted border is dented in areas. Light scratches and dents can be seen, general wear.

Lot 282

Three brooches to include a Victorian split pearl and enamel brooch, circa 1870, formed of two oval panels each with a central set split pearl and inlaid enamel star surround, together with a 9ct gold amethyst and diamond bug brooch and a pearl and diamond basket brooch. Total weight 12.4gms. Condition: The Victorian brooch has is in an overall fair condition, there are minor surface scratches, the brooch would benefit from a clean. There is pitting to some of the solder joins, and holes and cracks to the panels, some quite large, these are mainly around the central section and centre part of the side panels. There is also a repair and piece of added support wire to the back of the central section. The hinge on the pin is nice and tight. There are two small chips to two points of one of the enameled stars, and a small crack to one of the split pearls. The bug brooch is in a good condition, with minor surface scratches in keeping with general wear, the collet settings around the amethysts are thinning in places and show some nicks. The pin and hinge are in good working order. The top amethyst (to the head of the bug) is set slightly off centre, this is not immediately noticeable. There are some inclusions to the amethysts, visible under magnification, and also some minor abrasions, the centre stone having a small nick to the edge of the central facet. The diamonds have some inclusions. The basket brooch is in a good condition, the brooch is stamped 750 and 003. The pin wobbles slightly on its hinge, the clasp is in good working order, the pin is hallmarked 18ct gold.

Lot 300

Accompanied by a copy of a report from The Precious Stone Laboratory London stating that the diamond is 4.14cts, colour O-P range: Tinted , clarity VS1. Report number 963910, dated 9th June 1999. A platinum single stone diamond ring, the brilliant cut diamond is in a twist design four claw setting. Estimated diamond weight 0.71cts, colour H-I, clarity SI2/P1. Weight 4.14gms. Condition: The ring is in overall fair condition. There are scratches to the ring shank it would benefit from a repolish. The diamond is bright and the claw setting is secure. There are two fairly central whaite inclusions, the one is just surface reaching, both inclusions are easily visible with 10x magnification. Ring size K.

A single stone diamond ring, the brilliant cut diamond within a three claw setting on a fine 18ct white gold chain. Estimated diamond weight 0.43cts, colour K-L, clarity SI2-P1. Length 40cms. Condition: The pendant is in overall new condition. The diamond is quite bright and the claws are secure. The chain is in good condition and the clasp is secure. There are scattered white inclusions running throughout the diamond.

Lot 311

Four rings, to include an early 20th century green gem and amethyst lozenge shape cluster ring, a 9ct gold ruby and split pearl cluster ring, a single stone paste ring (stamped platinum) and a 9ct gold pink topaz ring with single cut diamond shoulders. Total 9ct gold weight 7.73gms. Platinum weight 3.10gms. Some AF. Condition: The rings are in overall fair condition. The central green gem to lozenge shape cluster is chipped and a couple of the outer amethysts are chipped, inner personal inscription reads `Bill, 25 12 1902`. There is abrasion to the facet edges of the colourless pastein the single stone ring. There is discolouration to the mount of the pink topaz ring, the ruby in ring has a surface reaching fracture to one of the outer stones.

Lot 322

A single stone peridot ring, the rectangular peridot in a four claw setting, flanked by graduated stepped shoulders. Length of peridot 11mm, width 9mm. Condition: Overall condition good, with minor surface scratches to the ring shank, it would benefit from a polish. There are abrasions to the facet edges of the peridot, also an internal fracture running from the top to bottom of the stone, and a surface reaching fracture to the edge of the stone. The colour saturation is quite even. Ring size P 1/2.

A pair of peridot earrings, each with an oval shape peridot in a four claw setting with abstract swirl surround. Length of peridot 11mm, width of peridot 9mm. Weight 8.9gms. Condition: Overall condition is good, with minor surface scratches to the metal, minor abrasions to the peridots and nibbles to the girdles. The stones have an even distribution of colour, one has an internal fracture running across the stone.

Chain stamped 750. Length 46cms. Condition: The pendant is in overall new condition. There are very minor scratches to the pendant and chain.

Lot 328

Platinum single stone diamond ring, the pear cut diamond in a three claw setting. Estimated total diamond weight 0.75cts, colour G, clarity P1. Condition: Overall condition good, with noticeable surface scratches to the platinum with a couple of slightly deeper scratches to one edge, it would benefit from a re-polish. The ring shank is hallmarked platinum. There is a black inclusion to the central table of the diamond that is visible to the unaided eye, there is also a black inclusion to the edge of the stone. Condition: Overall condition good-the emeralds display a deep green colour with an even saturation running through the stone, they are well matched. A mid 20th century ruby and diamond ring, with a rectangular shaped cluster of three split panels set with single cut diamonds, a central square cut ruby and further outer detail. Weight 8.47gms. Condition: The ring is in overall good condition. There are slight scratches to the ring in keening with the age of the piece, there is some discolouration to the inner rim of the ring. The rubies are well matched, they are pinkish in tone, the central ruby has a internal fracture running across the stone, one of the smaller rubies is abraded to the facet edges. The single cut diamonds are nice and bright, some of the claw settings may need to be checked. Ring size K.

Lot 343

Four rings, to include two 9ct gold opal and diamond cluster rings, a synthetic blue spinel ring, the spinel cut in the shape of a flower and a 9ct gold oval amethyst set ring. Total weight 12.72gms. AF. Condition: The rings are in overall fair condition. The spinel in the flower design ring are heavily abraded and the back of the ring shank is bent of straight. There is a sapphire missing from the opal and sapphire cluster ring. There is a surface reaching fracture to the oval amethyst in the single stone ring.

Condition: The ring is in overall good condition. There are slight scratches to the ring shank in places, very minor wear. A couple of the claws are broken and would need attention. The diamonds are all quite nice and bright, there is a small surface reaching fracture to the central diamond visible with 10x magnification and scattered white inclusions to the outer stones.

A natural black opal and diamond cluster ring, the central oval opal cabochon surrounded by sixteen round brilliant cut diamonds. Estimated total diamond weight 1.88cts, colour- G- H/I, clarity VS. Opal measures 15.31 x 11.58 x 4.35mm. Accompanied by a report from GRS, stating the stone is a natural black opal, with the country of origin being Australia. Report no. GRS2008-080438T, dated 4th September 2008. Stamped 18K Condition: The ring is in good condition. A strong full play-of-colour can be seen throughout the opal, to include orange, red, yellow, green, blue, mauve and pink. . This has a large segmented distribution. The diamonds are bright, lively and well matched. There is one minor scratch to the shank. Ring size UK- O US- 7 1/2. Lot 376

Two rings, to include a seven stone diamond daisy cluster ring, (estimated total diamond weight 0.45cts, stamped 18K) and a 9ct gold opal and diamond ring, the central oval cabochon opal flanked by brilliant cut diamonds. Condition: Both rings are in overall good condition. Slight scratches to both. The opal has a fairly good play of colour displaying greens and pinks, there is an areas of the opal where the colour is weaker. Claws are secure to both rings.

Lot 380

An early 20th century bug brooch, the main wishbone panel with a later added sapphire and diamond set bug. Length of brooch 3.5cms. Weight 5.05gms. Condition: The brooch is in overall good condition. There are slight scratches to the wishbone, we believe the bug to have been added at a later date. The sapphire is of medium blue with an even saturation of colour running throughout the stone. The diamonds are nice and bright, there is a black inclusion to the table face of the diamond visible with 10x magnification. The pin and catch is secure.

Lot 381

Two rings, to include an 18ct gold and platinum mounted single stone diamond ring, the old European cut diamond is in an eight claw setting (estimated diamond weight 0.33cts) and a 9ct gold emerald and diamond cluster ring, with three marquise shape emeralds surrounded by single cut diamonds. Total weight 4.26gms. Condition: Both rings are in overall good good/fair condition. There are slight scratches to both rings, in keeping with slight wear. All three emeralds to the cluster ring are quite heavily included a couple with surface reaching fractures, the stones are translucent. The claws to the single stone diamonds would need to be retipped.

Lot 383

A Victorian 15ct gold five stone garnet ring, each circular garnet is in a millegrain collet setting interspaced by pairs of brown gemstones with engraved scroll design shoulders. Hallmarks for Bimingham 1872. Weight 2.04gms. Condition: The ring is in overall fair condition. The shoulder detail is dented to both sides, there are scratches to the back of the ring shank, the inner hallmarks has worn away to the centre. There is abrasion to the facet edges of the garnets visible with magnification, three of the brown/green gemstones are quite seriously chipped. Some of the claws are quite seriously worn and would need attention. Ring size P

Scratches and scuffs can be seen to the ring shank, general wear. Ring size N 1/2.

Lot 386

An 18ct kunzite and diamond ring, the oval kunzite is in a raised four claw setting surrounded by brilliant cut diamonds and baguette cut shoulder detail. Estimated total diamond weight 0.50cts. Condition: Overall condition very good, with very light surface scratches to the ring shank, some of the diamonds show inclusions but are quite bright and lively. The kunzite has a medium body colour and the colour is evenly distributed and is a clean stone. Ring size O 1/2.

An 18ct gold three stone claw set diamond ring. The central stone is approximately 0.25ct with 0.07ct stones to either side. Estimated total weight of diamonds 0.39ct. Clarity VS2, colour H. Weight 2.10 grams. Condition: Overall condition good, with minor surface scratches to the gold, the ring would benefit from a clean. The diamonds are well matched and the tables are fairly clean. Some of the claws may need attention. Ring size L.

Two early 20th century stone set rings, to include a marquise shaped cluster ring, the three graduated sapphires within an diamond point surround and a boat shaped ring with three circular rubies interspaced by old European cut diamonds. Hallmarks for Chester. Weight 5gms. Condition: Overall condition fair to good, wear commensurate to the age of the pieces. Both rings would benefit from a clean and both have hallmarks that are slightly rubbed. The diamonds in the marquise shape cluster ring are very abraded and a lot are chipped and are differing in shapes, the sapphires have a medium blue saturation, one is lighter in colour than the others. There is a section of the ring shank that shows joins where it has been sized, one of these joins has a nick to it where the solder has worn away. Ring size P. The rubies in the boat shaped ring show abrasion the the facet edges, the diamonds are quite bright and lively. Ring size N

Lot 395

An 18ct bi-colour gold sapphire and diamond cluster ring, the pear shaped sapphire within a brilliant cut diamond surround. Estimated total diamond weight 0.16cts. Weight 2gms. Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is good, the diamonds are bright and lively, the sapphire has uneven colour saturation due to some angular colour zoning running through the stone.

Two 18ct gold stone set rings, to include an early/mid 20th century 18ct gold and platinum opal and diamond cluster ring, the oval opal within a surround of single cut diamonds also a buckle ring set with two old European cut diamonds. Hallmarks for Birmingham 1897. Weight 6.2gms. Condition: Overall condition of both rings are fair to good. The opal cluster ring has minor surface scratches and wear to the ring shank, the ring would benefit from a clean, the millegrain setting is slightly rubbed in places, there is some dirt in the setting around the opal, the opal shows a good play of colour showing greens, blues, purples and oranges, there is some grazing to the stone. Ring size K. The buckle ring is slightly misshapen into an oval shape, the diamonds are bright and lively, there is a join line becoming visible to the back of the ring shank. Hallmarks are clear and legible. Ring size K 1/2.

Lot 398

An 18ct gold emerald and diamond cluster ring, the oval emerald within a brilliant cut diamond surround set to baguette cut diamond shoulders. Estimated total diamond weight 0.32cts. Weight 3.4gms. AF. Condition: Overall condition fair, there is a large fairly shallow chip to the emerald to a kite facet and into the table very slightly, it is approximately 2mm in diameter. There are nibbles to the girdle of the emerald and internal inclusions and fractures that significantly affect the transmission of light through the stone. The diamonds are quite well matched and are quite bright and lively.

A ruby and diamond marquise shape cluster ring, the central rectangular cushion shape ruby surrounded by old European cut diamonds. Estimated total diamond weight 2.00cts. Length of cluster 2.4cms. Condition: The ring is in overall fair/poor condition. There are slight scratches to the ring in keeping with slight wear. There is abrasion to the facet edges of the central ruby, the ruby is fairly pink/red in tone, with a band of red colour zoning running across the stone visible with 10x magnification. Two of the diamonds are chipped, one diamond has a natural to one of the facets. The diamonds vary in colour, all claws would need to be checked. The 18ct stamp is a little worn. Ring size M.

A single stone diamond ring, the brilliant cut diamond is in an eight claw setting with a bark effect ring shank. Estimated diamond weight 1.90cts, colour H-I, clarity P1. Stamped 18ct. Weight 5.1gms. Condition: Overall condition good-the diamond has a small scattering of black inclusions through the stone just visible without the 10x lens. The bark effect hoop has incurred some wear in keeping with being worn over a period of time.

Lot 415

Five late 19th/early 20th century rings, to include a 9ct split pearl and turquoise cluster ring (hallmarks for Birmingham 1900), a 9ct gold split pearl cluster ring (hallmarks for Birmingham 1922) and three other cluster rings. AF. Condition: The rings are in overall fair/poor condition. All of the rings are damaged, the garnet cluster ring has a split ring shank and is heavily tarnished, the stones are abraded and one stone is missing. One split pearl is missing from the ruby and split pearl cluster ring with a solder join to the back of the ring shank. The split pearls are heavily worn to the other cluster ring. There is a replacement shank to the turquoise and split pearl cluster, there is also a lead solder to the shoulder of the other cluster ring and the central stone is missing.

Lot 416

Two rings, to include a 9ct gold triple turquoise and split pearl cluster ring and an early 20th century turquoise and diamond ring, with three oval turquoise interspaced by diamond points with scroll design shoulders. Total weight 6.47gms. Condition: Both rings are in overall good/fair condition. One of the turquoise to the three stone ring has been replaced and is pale green in colour, there are fine scratches to all, a couple of the diamond points are chipped, with slight scratches to the ring shank. The triple cluster ring turquoise again varies in shade and some of the seed pearls are quite grey in colour.

Lot 417

Two rings, to include a 9ct gold green diopside, purple gem and diamond cluster ring and an early 20th century 18ct five stone sapphire and diamond ring. Centre stone replaced with a pale blue paste. Hallmarks for Birmingham 1916. Total weight 7.17gms. Condition: The multi gem cluster ring is in overall good condition, with no significant damage. The other ring is in fair condition, the central stone has been replaced with a blue paste that has sunk in the setting, there are scratches and wear to the ring shank. There is abrasion to the outer sapphires, the diamonds are quite bright and the claws are worn. The inner makers mark and hallmark is rubbed.

Lot 428

An 18ct white gold diamond hinged bangle, with channel set princess cut diamonds. Estimated total diamond weight 2.30cts, colour H-I, clarity VS2-P1. Weight 22.2gms. One stone chipped. AF. Condition: The overall condition is good, with minor surface scratches to the gold, the diamonds are set fairly flat and are quite bright and lively. The clasp and hinge are in good working order.

Lot 431

A diamond single stone ring, the princess cut diamond within a four claw setting. Accompanied by E.G.L. report stating weight 2.04cts, clarity SI2, colour Brown P (ECG). Report number 61003026/39808. Stamped 18ct. Weight 7.8gms. Condition: Overall good condition, there is noticeable wear to the ring shank particularly at the back, I believe most of these could be polished out and the thickness of the shank will allow for this. There is a lozenge shape inclusion visible under 10x magnification to the edge of the central table facet which stretches to the edge of the stone, the rest of the stone is fairly clean. Ring size N.
