An 18th century oak cricket table, the patinated plank top with undertier on three tapering legs 67 x 70cm (26 x 27in) These three-legged tables with a circular top originated in the 17th century and although an earlier form of the game of cricket existed at this time, it is unlikely the table is named after the game. Far more likely is that it is a derivation of the word from the early 17th century for a three-legged stool, known as a “crackett”. Like the stool, the three-legged table was comparatively steadier on uneven ground and stone flag floors in the taverns, inns and cottages, although its use outdoors, to hold your beer whilst batting, has also been noted.
A two stone diamond bar brooch, the two old round brilliant cut diamonds claw set in white precious metal in crossover formation to a tapered bar of yellow precious metal, engraved '18ct & Plat', clasp with safety catch, length 5.8cm, total estimated weight of diamonds 1.25cts, in period fitted case
A fancy coloured diamond and white diamond cluster ring, the old round brilliant cut cinnamon coloured diamond claw set in a border of nine old round and cushion cut white diamonds to carved trifurcated shoulders and plain tapered shank stamped '18ct', size P; total estimated weight of diamonds approximately 1ct, cased The ring is in excellent condition - sound, bright and clean: ready to wear and attractively presented. The diamonds are all lively and sparkling, and claws are secure. The constraints of the setting make measuring the stones difficult, but the principal diamond is estimated at approximately half a carat; it is a well-proportioned stone, probably cut in the 19th century and has a distinct culet facet. An expert would note visible inclusions without a loupe, and the clarity grade would be Piqué, but the colour and setting mean that these are not obvious to the untrained eye. The ring sits comfortably on the finger with no rough parts to snag clothing, and looks good.
A 19th century aquamarine and cannetille work brooch / pendant, the ornate pierced, twirled and beaded cannetille work Latin cross set to the centre with an oval cut aquamarine, each arm with a similar but elongated aquamarine, the lower arm with a further smaller pear cut stone, and the quadrants with similar smaller oval cuts, the removable bale en suite with a single oval cut aquamarine, all in closed back settings, yellow precious metal tests for 18ct gold, length with bale 5.8cm

An impressive single stone diamond ring of approximately 4cts, the round brilliant cut diamond, eight claw set between tiered shoulders each with two graduated baguette cut diamonds, plain shank size M½, unmarked white precious metal tests for platinum; the principal diamond is estimated to weigh 3.97cts, but has a 'spread' of around 4.5cts (i.e. this is the size the stone looks, as worn); the estimated colour is K, and estimated clarity SI - there are some very small nibbles on the girdle and one material chip (on an upper girdle encroaching to adjacent kite facet), virtually hidden by a claw, but internally the stone is extremely clean, potentially flawless

A pearl and diamond necklace spacer together with a single stone diamond and 14ct white gold ring, the clasp designed to hold, evenly spaced, two rows of pearls or other beads, and designed as a 7.5mm pearl in the centre of a spaced petal border of eight round brilliant cut diamonds within a swirl of three textured ribbon ends, the hinged clasp with safety catch, white precious metal, diameter 1.8cm - could be converted into a ring or a conventional necklace clasp; together with a single stone ring, the round brilliant cut diamond collet set to a plain tapered shank, size T, Austrian assay marks for Vienna; total estimated diamond weight 0.50cts (2)

A matched pair of composition stone and antler stag's heads, the Queen Anne style stone heads bearing the real antlers, the necks with a ruffled collar, the noses with traces of colour, 122cm (48 in) high (2) Other Notes: Chastleton House has such a stag's head in place in the great hall - the stone head mounted and issuing from the painted body of the stag. Chastleton is a house saved by the National Trust after the family gave up the financial struggle to keep it. The lack of money meant that many original features such as the stag's head are in place still.
