Condition - one severe puncture hole 3/4 left, paint loss to higher right background and other age related marks (see photos).

E & F HORSTER SOLINGEN A GERMAN NAVAL OFFICER'S DRESS SWORD, 1920s, with 31in. slightly curved pipe-backed nickelled steel blade with ricasso marked 'E & F HORSTER / SOLINGEN' with their mark on reverse side, guilded hilt and folding guard with fouled anchor cypher to one side and scabbard lock to other, lion's head pommel. oak leaf ferrule, white bone grip bound with copper wire, together with its black leather scabbard with decorated brass mounts and two suspension rings, eagle inspection mark to drag, scabbard and folding scabbard lock both numbered 'O.1516', some shallow pitting towards the blade point, top two wire loops on grip a little loose, a little denting to the chape, scabbard leather with grazes, 37 1/4in. overall. A LATE NINETEENTH CENTURY WAX HEAD DOLL WITH TWO SMALL BISQUE HEAD DOLLS, comprising larger, possibly German?, doll with blue glass eyes, painted lips and eyebrows, light auburn hair, composition lower limbs and painted boots, wearing a pink and cream dress, height approximately 36cm, with two small bisque head dolls, one with a composition body and limbs, the other with a soft body and bisque lower limbs, heights 12cm and 15.5cm respectively (Condition report: larger doll has a dirty face and limbs, rubbed cheek and nose, stained dress especially at back, one smaller doll has a chipped foot, otherwise ok, all would benefit from a clean) (3)

Indian Army Supply & Transport Corps Officers No1 Dress Tunic Belonging to Major Charles Wilfred Hext, fine blue four pocket dress tunic with white shoulder boards having gilt metal rank pips for the rank of Captain. Small type post 1902 officers regimental buttons to the front, pockets and shoulder straps. Above the breast pocket are medal ribbons for the Queens South Africa and Kings South Africa medals. Interior with original tailors label having inked name. Charles Wilfred Hext originally served with the Devonshire regiment. He served during the Boer War and received the QSA medal with clasps Natal, Orange Free State and Belfast. He was also entitled to the Kings South Africa medal with two clasps. He was transferred to the Indian army pre WW1 and continued to serve with them until his death in Alexandria in 1919. He served with distinction during the Abors campaign and was mentioned in despatches for his service. Accompanying the tunic is photocopied paperwork research relating to his service. It would appear he died of disease in 1919, not as a result of any combat or wound.
19th Century French Dress Sword, slender triangular section blade signed Ve A K & F etched with small trophies, ormolu hilt with eagle, laurel and oak leaves on the guard, oval bust portrait applied to the chequered ebony grip. Overall 89.5cms, blade 75.5cms. Good condition, blade cleaned bright.
