# Murray Arbeid - A ladies pale pink duchesse satin strapless full length evening gown, embroidered with black chenille, with matching stole edged with a fringe of black chenille, sold with supporting correspondence between Arbeid and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC Note; Murray Arbeid (1935-2011) was a British fashion designer known for his evening wear whose notable clients included Princess Diana and Shirley Bassey. He once joked that if there was a Nobel prize for creations in taffeta, he would have won it. He was partner to Frederick Fox, and co-designed their house in Suffolk. This dress was designed for Mrs John Traina (Danielle Steele) and closely resembles a dress made for Elizabeth Drexel, Lady Decies, which now resides at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The original gown was produced by Charles Frederick Worth (1826-1895), an Englishman who established the first couture house in Paris in 1858. See website for extra images

Olympic games Moskau 1980. Official Torch - Official Olympic Torch Moscow 1980. Grey sprayed aluminium alloy with gilt parts. Lettering and emblem in red. Designed by Boris Tuchin. Height 56.1cm. Includes the original gas container used in the relay from Olympia to Moscow. Plus official diploma for the torch bearer, 32x23.5 cm; official shirt , socks, shoes and headband (all made by Mizuno, official suppliers for torch bearers); small poster with the way the torchtook and a local diploma for participants of the torch relay. Three black-and-white photos of the former owner in original dress at the Olympic Torch Relay. Original Olympic torch with small signs of usage. This torch was used at the torch relay to Moscow. The torch shows some small dents which are of no trouble at all. This collection is extremely rare.

A Kammer & Reinhardt doll in Scottish ceremonial dress, the bisque head with blue sleep eyes, pierced ears, blonde wig, open mouth with four upper teeth, jointed composition body, stamped "66" to back of head, 64 cm long CONDITION REPORTS Is in used and well loved condition with some general wear throughout and is dirty. Has some small knocks and dumps in places particularly to legs. Head - when eyes are close lids show small cracks to centre (see image) teeth good but dirty overall face appear sound. Hands - one hand missing thumb altogether and other fingers small bumps to ends (see image) other hand has small bumps to fingers. Legs - around joints top and bottom flaking, knocks and dumps to edges - see images. Clothes - cannot guarantee original but appear of some age and are well made. Hat is very moth, skirt has some mothing to bottom edge in approx 1 x 1 cm and a couple of other holes in places, silk to waist is deteriorating with age, black velvet seems overall releasable but with some wear, shoe have beautiful details and appear in overall sound condition but with some wear.

Leather scabbard with general wear and scuffs, has a leather strap fitment to attach to it which is of a slightly different colour leather so possibly later or associated. Sword itself has some tarnish, some wear and scuffs, but generally appears in good order, length of blade approx. 88 cm, blade near the knuckle guard is stamped "PROVED" and the knuckle guard appears to be stamped "Fenton Ltd Sheffield", there is a typed label attached to the sword - please see photo for wording.

Silver print, likely by Dorothy Wilding. Margins of the photograph are marked in pencil, but otherwise in very good condition. Provenance: The family of Isabelle Fowler (Madame Isabelle), who assisted Sir Norman Hartnell in making the coronation dress. An uncommon coronation photograph, more usually found with the Queen wearing the same outfit but in a slightly different pose and the white printed mark of Dorothy Wilding.

Overall size 33.7 x 22.5cm when opened. Light wear and creasing to margins, but otherwise in very good condition.

Mount margins trimmed in a slightly irregular way. A very nice image; a mounted sepia, gelatine silver print photograph of Queen Marie of Romania with Romanian national costume in a landwood with Castle Bran in the background (overall size 30.6 x 24.1cm). Inscribed in ink to mount upper margin ""A Happy Xmas to [aunt?] Molly, in remembrance of our time together"" and signed on lower margin ""Marie, 1926"". Light age toning and some silvering, but nonetheless a charming picture; a mounted black and white, head and shoulders photo of Leopold of Battenberg, approximately size 19.7 x 14.6cm. Signed and dated in ink ""Leopold of Battenberg, 1909"". Ink slightly faded, but signature remains legible. A few pen and pencil annotations to rear. Fascinating pictures of three of Queen Victoria`s grandchildren.

MEM A stunning 28 x 22.5cm presentation sample of the coronation dress of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by the renowned English couturier Sir Norman Bishop Hartnell. The sample offers a splendid detail of the intricate embroidered decoration on white satin of the coronation gown, featuring the floral emblems of the United Kingdom and of the Commonwealth countries. These comprise a Tudor rose, embroidered in pale pink silk with pearls, gold and silver bullions and rose diamante; the Scottish thistle in mauve silk and amethysts, with a calyx in silver thread, green silk and diamante drewdrops; the Welsh leek in white and pale green silk with diamante drewdrops; the Irish shamrock, embroidered in green silk, silver bullions and diamante. Commonwealth countries are represented by the Canadian maple leaf in green silk with a crystal vein and gold border; the silver fern of New Zealand, embroidered in pale green silk, silver and crystal; the Australian wattle flower made with a coarse yellow wool along with green and gold silk leaves; the South African protea in shaded pink silk, with green silk leaves and silver outlined petals; the Indian lotus flower, worked in white and pale pink thread, diamante and mother of pearl and the three floral emblems of Pakistan: wheat in diamante and golden crystal, cotton in silver and green leaves and jute in green silk and golden thread. The emblems are gathered together by an embroidered ribbon featuring silver thread, pearls and diamante drewdrops. The Queen`s cipher ""ER"" is embroidered with golden bullions at the bottom. Framed and glazed, overall size 45 x 37.5cm. Mounted to the rear of the frame is an annotated pictorial key to the floral emblems, with an explanation of their significance and a concluding note written and signed by Norman Hartnell: ""To Madame Isabelle (Mrs Fowler). I inscribe this memento of the dress I designed and made for the Coronation of the most Gracious Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in Westminster Abbey on June 2nd 1953. With gratitude Norman Hartnell"". The coronation dress took eight months to complete and the Queen declared it ""glorious"". Provenance: The family of Isabelle Fowler (Madame Isabelle), who assisted Hartnell in making the dress. Undoubtedly a museum quality item.
