Black cotton Jumlo (dress) of the Shin people of Kohistan, North West Frontier Province (now Pakistan) the bodice heavily beaded and embroidered with metal and button trim, embellished with 1949 Pakistan coins; the sleeves with cuffs embroidered and trimmed with white beads and edged with lead weights; with a plain cotton back and with two inserts of floral printed cotton to the top of the heavy and many godeted skirt. Second quarter 20th century. Cf. Gillow, J & Barnard N. Indian Textiles, p. 139. Three similar Jumlos were sold these Rooms 5th March 2015, Lots 1780-1783.
