A Late 18th/Early 19th Century Gouache & Bodycolour on Paper; a full length portrait of Miss Elizabeth Anne Hall (1775-1856) depicted wearing a white dress with blue waistband and matching mob-cap, holding the paws of a spaniel which stands on a plinth. Attached to the reverse are old noted containing details that the previous owners once believed it to be a Gainsbrough until as recently as 1952, the year in which another note states that it was identified by the `art experts Appelby Brothers` as being by Daniel Gardner. 20 ins x 16 ins (51 cms x 41 cms).
