Circa 1920`s Lady`s and Gents 18th Century Style Fancy Dress Costumes, labelled W Clarkson Perruquier & Costumier Wardour Street London; Gents comprises of a lilac figured silk jacket with silvered metallic trims and matching breeches, floral silk waistcoat, silk stockings; lilac shoes and lace neck tie, together with grey wig and tricorn lilac silk hat. Lady`s Costume comprises a peach satin crinoline dress with gilt metallic trim, grey wig and lilac silk shoes. They were purchased for a fancy dress event on a cruise ship in the circa 1920`s, see photograph
A May Queen Costume Worn By Miss Joan Wood Aged 10 years, Llandudno May 16th 1929, Together With Ephemera and Photographs As She Was Presented and Crowned By Prime Minister David LLoyd George. Miss Wood wore a pale pink silk dress, with a tiered skirt edged with pink pearls, her under garments included matching frilled bloomers and matching under dress. She wore a cape of pink and silver woven brocade and a long train edged with ermine, pink silk shoes decorated with pink beads, and a card crown trimmed with ermine and decorated with beads. Miss Wood`s parents Coun and Mrs Herbert Wood of Greenroyd Brighouse had a summer residence at Craig y-don, near Llandudno and her father was elected the High Sheriff of Caernarvon. A special train had been chartered by her father on May 16th 1929, from Brighouse transporting nearly 500 Brighouse residents including the Brighouse and Rastrick Town Band, 300 Brighouse boy scouts, friends and family to Llandudno. Miss Wood was driven in a Daimler decorated to resemble floral Venetian gondola, incorporating 20,000 pink and white paper roses made by the Brighouse Scouts. Included in this lot are a collection of newspaper cuttings, and photographs depicting the big day and Lloyd George crowning the May Queen, also a coloured card cut out of the `Gondola` on a base.

Together with a Triptych Leather Album with gilt tooled crest, enclosing official photographs of the couple; framed copy of a photograph of the couple; A Copy of `The Form and Order of the Service....Coronation of Their Majesties King George V and Queen Elizabeth...1937`, published by Eyre and Spottiswoode, with gilt armorial to the front and original dust wrapper; Red Leather Official Souvenir Programme for the coronation, and correspondence and Invitation from the Earl Marshall

A Victorian officer's dress sword, the handle with brass knuckle guard bearing Victorian cipher, the shagreen handle with wirework decoration, the engraved blade housed in a brass scabbard CONDITION REPORTS The scabbard has a number of dents - see photos. The blade is 81.5 cm long. The scabbard 84.5 cm long.
PAVLOVA, ANNAPhotograph Signed - (SP)A beautiful vintage full-length photograph (appox. 145x100mm) of Anna Pavlova in white dress and clasping a bouquet, clearly signed in black ink "Anna Pavlova", mounted on thick "Ellis & Walery" card (overall approx. 200x150mm). Card has been slightly trimmed along lower edge. Some minor silvering when held in a certain light, but overall an excellent item with a great Pavlova signature.
