A late 19th century Continental figure group, possibly Meissen, of a male figure whispering in to the ear of a seated female figure, cross swords mark to underside of base, height 17cm. Additional InformationBoth hands of the male figure have been restored and it appears that the male figure has been broken at the legs and reattached to where his coat meets the dress of the female figure. Part of the tricorn hat with some restoration. Some re-gilding visible here and there. Possibly some repair/restoration to the chair back. Possibly restoration to the female figures left hand. Some of the figures appear to be incomplete.
