Small firing crack to the reverse, near the edge. Otherwise good.

H. Dohmessen & Co. Berlin Hermann Göring Str. 4" im Rückenteil und entsprechendem Schneideretikett mit Trägernamen "... Ludwig ... Juni 1938" in der Innentasche. Angestecktes Brustabzeichen mit rot unterlegten Augen, ein Paar vernähte Schulterstücke aus Silbergeflecht, Armbinde mit Silberkordeleinfassungen, Ärmelband mit silberngestickter römischer Ziffer "XIV", Alter-Kämpfer-Winkel, silberne Fangschnur mit "einfachen" Pfeifen, Ordensschlaufen. Weste aus gleichem Stoff mit silbernen Runenknöpfen, seidenem Rückenteil und weißem Seidenfutter, im rückseitigem Verstellgurt das Schneideretikett "H. H. Dohmessen & Co. Von größter Seltenheit, uns ist lediglich ein weiterer vollständiger Abendgesellschaftsanzug bekannt.Dazu ein Holzteller "Gau-Westfalen-Nord" aus dem Besitz Ludwigs.Außerdem Fotos und Dokumente aus dem Nachlass des Air-Force-Angehörigen, der die Uniform erbeutete. Dieser gehörte zu einer Sondereinheit, die hochrangige Mitglieder der NS-Regierung verfolgte und Beweise sammelte. Eines der Fotos zeigt Mitglieder der Einheit mit dem erbeuteten Holzteller - in Ludwigs Villa?Curt Ludwig (1902 - 1989), 1919 bis 1923 bei der Marine-Brigade Ehrhard, 1923 Eintritt in die NSDAP, 1926 in die SA und 1929 in die SS. 1933 Führer des SS-Sturmbanns I/14 (Gotha), 1929 bis 1933 Mitglied des Thüringer Landtages, 1933 Reichstagabgeordneter für Thüringen und später für den Wahlkreis Weser-Ems. 1935 Führer des SS-Abschnitts XXX (Kassel) und ab 1937 des SS-Abschnitts XIV (Bremen-Horn). 1938 Polizeipräsident in Bremen. 1942 im Stab des Höheren SS- und Polizeiführers im Reichsgau Wartheland, 1943 Führer des SS-Abschnitts V (Essen), 1944 im Stab des SS-Oberabschnitts Fulda-Werra. Am 20. April 1945 zum SS-Brigadeführer ernannt. A chest badge pinned on, with red eyes underlaid, a pair of stitched, silver braid shoulder boards, a brassard with silver cord trim, a cuff band with silver-embroidered Roman numeral "XIV", Honour Chevron for the Old Guard, silver lanyard with "simple" whistles, orders loops.The waistcoat made of the same material with silver rune buttons, silk back and white silk lining, the tailor's label "H. H. Dohmessen & Co. Berlin Hermann Göring Str. 4" with the wearer's name "... Ludwig ... Juni 1938" in the cinch on the back. The matching trousers with white piping in the side seams and broad, white stripes with silver trim, the black silk lining with the tailor's label "H. H. Dohmessen & Co. Berlin Hermann Göring Str. 4" and the wearer's name "... Ludwig ... Juni 1938". Extremely rare find. We are only aware of the existence of one other complete, full evening dress uniform.Includes a wooden plate inscribed "Gau-Westfalen-Nord" that belonged to Ludwig.Moreover, photographs and documents from the estate of the Air Force member who seized the uniform. He was part of a special unit that prosecuted and compiled evidence against high-ranking members of the NS government. One of the photographs shows comrades of the unit with the looted wooden plate, possibly in Ludwig's villa.Curt Ludwig (1902 - 1989) served from 1919 to 1923 with the Navy Brigade Ehrhard, joined the NSDAP in 1923, the SA in 1926 and the SS in 1929. Commander of the SS Sturmbann I/14 (Gotha) in 1933, member of the Thuringian state parliament from 1929 to 1933, Reichstag representative for Thuringia in 1933 and later for the constituency of Weser-Ems. Kaiserin Elisabeth von Österreich – leichter Morgenmantel, um 1870/80 Überaus feiner, lang geschnittener weißer Leinenüberwurf mit Schleppe und langen Ärmeln. Die weiten Ärmelaufschläge, der Kragen, die Schultern sowie die Säume verziert mit hellen blau-grünen Seidenbändern unter hauchdünnem Leinengaze, die Ränder beidseitig mit feinen Spitzenbordüren. Die Innenseiten des Morgenmantels unterhalb der Seidenbänder mit Stockflecken. An den Kragenenden zwei hellblaue Seidenbänder zur Halsverschnürung. Qualitätvoller und in der Substanz hervorragend erhaltener Morgenmantel. In unserer 27. Auktion 1992 wurde dieser Morgenmantel zusammen mit dem folgenden in der Verarbeitung nahezu identischen Unterrock für ein Tournüren-Kleid angeboten. Dieser Unterrock hat das eingenähte Leinenetikett mit dem Stempel "Privatfond I.K.K. Majestät" und der "No. 2439".Provenienz: Hermann Historica, 27. Auktion im Oktober 1992, Bestandteil des Loses 2865. Seither in einer deutschen Privatsammlung.Zustand: II -Empress Elisabeth of Austria – a lightweight dressing gown, circa 1870/80 The exceptionally fine, full-length wrap in white linen with a train and long sleeves. The wide cuffs, the collar, the shoulders and the seams embellished with pale greenish-blue silk ribbons under gossamer linen gauze, the edges with fine lace borders on both sides. Mould stains on the inside of the dressing gown underneath the silk ribbons. Two pale blue silk ribbons at the points of the collar for the lacing at the throat.The dressing gown of the highest quality, the material admirably preserved. This dressing gown was offered for sale in conjunction with the following underskirt of virtually identical design for a bustle dress in our 27th Auction in 1992. The underskirt has a linen label stitched into the waistband, stamped "Privatfond I.K.K. Majestät" and "No. 2439".Provenance: Hermann Historica, 27th Auction in October 1992, part of lot no. 2865. Kaiserin Elisabeth von Österreich - leichter Unterrock für ein Turnüre-Kleid, um 1870/80 Überaus feiner Leinen-Unterrock mit langer Schleppe, der Saum sowie ein vorderseitig mittiger Zierstreifen nahezu identisch zu dem vorgehenden Morgenmantel verziert mit zwei breiten, hellblauen Seidenbändern unter hauchdünnem Leinengaze, die Ränder ebenfalls mit Spitzenbordüren in leicht variierender Ausführung. Der Bund vorderseitig mit etwa 35 cm langem, flach am Bauch anliegendem Abschnitt und daran jeweils seitlich anschließender Zugverschnürung. Großer Bundumfang für die Aufnahme des für Turnüren-Kleider typischen Formkissens oberhalb des Gesäßes, das durch die Zugverschnürung in Form gebracht wird und eine Fältelung des rückwärtigen Unterrockes bewirkt. Im Bund eingenähtes Leinenetikett mit Stempel "Privatfond I.K.K. Majestät" mit der "No. 2439". Hervorragende Erhaltung und Qualität.Provenienz: Hermann Historica, 27. Seither in einer deutschen Privatsammlung.Zustand: IIEmpress Elisabeth of Austria – a delicate underskirt for a bustle dress, circa 1870/80 Extremely fine linen underskirt with a long train, the hem and one decorative strip at the centre on the front with virtually identical embellishment to the matching dressing gown with two wide, pale blue silk ribbons under gossamer linen gauze, the edges also with lace borders in a slightly different design. An approx. 35 cm section at the front of the waistband sewn flat across the stomach and extending to corset lacing on either side. The waistband has been made larger to accommodate the padding over the buttocks, typical of bustle dresses, which was brought into shape by the lacing, creating a pleated effect at the back of the underskirt. A linen label stitched into the waistband, stamped "Privatfond I.K.K. Majestät" and "No. 2439". Kaiserin Elisabeth von Österreich – elegantes Cape im Stil einer ungarischen Husaren-Pelisse, um 1870 Überaus feines, helles, cremefarbenes Wolltuch, die beiden Brustseiten sowie der Nacken mit umlaufenden feinen Applikationen im Husarenstil aus weißer Woll- sowie Goldkordel. Der Kragen nur auf der linken Seite en suite verziert. Die Aufschläge und der Kragen an den Innenseiten mit breiter Unterfütterung in cremefarbenem Webpelz, im Halsbereich zwei Knöpfe, das zugehörige Verschlussband aus Seide und Webpelz vorhanden. Das feine Wolltuch mit größeren Mottenschäden, die Kragennähte sowie die Applikationen partiell gelöst.Eindrucksvolles Cape in restaurierungswürdigem Zustand. Die Vorliebe der Kaiserin für Ungarn beweist nicht nur ihr vehementer Einsatz für einen Ausgleich Österreichs mit Ungarn und ihre enge freundschaftliche Beziehung zu dem Grafen Andrássy, auch das dem Kaiserpaar anlässlich der Königskrönung 1867 geschenkte Schloss Gödöllö wurde für Elisabeth ein wichtiger Zufluchtsort. Diese Cape wurde in unserer 24. Auktion als Ensemble mit einem zweiteiligen Sommerkleid der Kaiserin angeboten. Dieses Kleid wird in unserer großen Herbstauktion 2021 zum Aufruf kommen.Provenienz: Hermann Historica, 24. Auktion im Mai 1991, Bestandteil des Loses 2856. Seither in einer deutschen Privatsammlung.Zustand: IIIEmpress Elisabeth of Austria – an elegant cape in the style of a Hungarian hussar's pelisse, circa 1870 Exceptionally fine, pale, cream-coloured woollen cloth with a fine border of hussar-style applications in white wool and gold cords on both sides of the breast and at the nape. The collar embellished en suite on the left side only. The cuffs and the collar lined on the inside with a broad strip of cream-coloured faux fur, two buttons at the neck, the matching fastening ribbon of silk and faux fur still in place. The fine woollen cloth with significant moth damage, the collar seams and the applications have come undone in places.The impressive cape in need of restoration.The Empress' penchant for Hungary is shown not just by her untiring efforts to bring about a settlement between Austria and Hungary, and her close ties of friendship with Count Andrássy; Gödöllö Royal Palace, which was presented to the imperial couple on the royal coronation in 1867, became an important place of refuge for Elisabeth. This cape came under the hammer in our 24th Auction as an ensemble with a two-piece summer dress, also worn by the Empress. Kaiserin Elisabeth von Österreich - Sommerkleid des Maison Ellinger-Haubner in Wien, um 1880 Cremefarbener Seidenchiffon mit eingewebten, die Figur betonenden Streifen. Das Dekolleté bis zum Hals mit feiner, floral verzierter Gaze bedeckt. Vorderseitig am Ärmel und am unteren Saum eingearbeiteter Besatz aus Brüsseler Spitze. Das seidene Futter stellenweise zerschlissen, das Formband aus Seide/Seidenrips mit Schneiderbezeichnung "Maison Ellinger-Haubner Wien". Seidenes Etikett mit gekröntem Monogramm (unleserlich). Möglicherweise wurde das Kleid in einer späteren Verwendung durch eine ihrer Töchter Gisela oder Marie Valerie dem Zeitgeist um 1900/10 angepasst.Provenienz: Hermann Historica, 36. The décolleté covered to the throat with a fine, florally embellished gauze. A Brussels lace trim incorporated at the front of the sleeves and the lower hem. The silk lining ripped here and there, the shaping ribbon in silk/ribbed silk with the dressmaker's name "Maison Ellinger-Haubner Wien". A silk label with a crowned monogram (illegible). The dress may have been modified for later wear by one of her daughters, Gisela or Marie Valerie, in line with the fashion of circa 1900/10.Provenance: Hermann Historica, 36th Auction in October 1998, lot 3217. Erzherzogin Marie Valerie von Österreich (1868-1924) – Seiden-Sommerkleid, um 1900 Cremefarbene Seide, der Rock mit kleiner Schleppe sowie das Oberteil vorderseitig mit applizierten Blüten und Blättern aus Golddraht und Perlen (einige fehlen) verziert. Das feine Leinenfutter innen mit undeutlichen Stempeln ("..Marie Valerie"). Die Applikationen insgesamt gut erhalten, die Seide ebenfalls, lediglich im Achselbereich etwas geschlissen. Auktion im November 1990, Los 3160.Zustand: IIArchduchess Marie Valerie of Austria (1868-1924) – a silk summer dress, circa 1900 Cream-coloured silk, the skirt with a short train, the front of the bodice embellished with appliquéd blossoms and foliage in gold wire and beads (several have been lost). The fine linen lining with illegible stamps ("..Marie Valerie"). The appliqués in good condition overall, the silk likewise, merely frayed somewhat under the arms.
