Northamptonshire Regiment Officer’s Full Dress Scarlet Tunic A good post 1902 example. Scarlet uniform with buff facings and white piping. Gold lace edging to collar and pointed cuffs, gilt buttons. Twisted gold shoulder-cords. Quilted lining. Collar-badges and rank badges absent, minimal external moth and staining, lining frayed ... Accompanied by a fine pair of heavy blue twill overalls with scarlet welts, made by Tautz & Co. (breeches makers) of Oxford Street. Buttons for foot-straps. (2 items)
Mid 19th Century Royal Artillery Volunteer Officer’s Victorian Full Dress Pouch Belt. A scarce example, the Pouch of blue leather, with blue cloth faced flap, this edged with silver lace and embroidered with a crown above three small Guns in silvered metal, flanked with laurel and oakleaf sprays. The blue leather belt with wide silver RA pattern lace and ornate silvered buckle, tip and slide, the tip bearing a burnished grenade. Lace slightly dull, otherwise GC.
Badge. Royal Artillery Officer’s full dress busby plume holder circa 1928-39 A gilt example. Flaming grenade, the ball mounted with cast Royal Arms over ‘Ubique’ scroll and gun over ‘Quo fas et gloria ducunt’ scroll. Reverse with provision for plume and complete with slider. Wear to gilt. GC Full dress had been discontinued at the outbreak of war in 1914 (although retained by Household troops after the war). It was reintroduced in 1928 for the Royal Artillery however the helmet was replaced with a busby and in practice only worn by a few Officers to levées etc. 11 years later, again at the outbreak of war, full dress for the Gunners disappeared, this time for good

Army Ordnance Corps Corporal’s Full Dress Tunic. A very good example, of the full dress pattern, dark blue cloth with scarlet collar, cuffs and piping to fronts, skirt-slashes and shoulder-straps. Seven King’s Crown gilding metal Royal Arms buttons to front and six behind. Blue shoulder-straps with brass AOC titles. Gilding metal collar-badges. Gold lace chevrons on scarlet backing below a gold Russia braid wheel on right sleeve. Marksman’s embroidered badge above left cuff. Minimal moth externally, some moth to lining, otherwise near VGC.

Royal Horse Guards Edwardian Musician’s Full Dress Tunic. A good and rare example. Dark blue uniform with scarlet collar and cuffs. Gold Russia braid edging to tunic. The collar and gauntlet cuffs both edged all round with narrow gold “Vellum” pattern lace, traced inside with gold Russia braid eyes. Four inverted Good Conduct chevrons above left cuff in gold lace, each on individual scarlet cloth backing. Twisted gold shoulder-cords forming wings. King’s Crown brass regimental buttons. Skirt-slashes edged with gold Russia. Serge lining, stencilled ‘RHG 3 06’ (March 1906). Minimal moth, otherwise GC.
