AN EDWARDIAN SILK & LACE WEDDING DRESS WITH CHAPEL TRAIN Kept in the attic for a century or more, in beautiful condition. The moire cream silk bodice is boned, with a high collar embellished in silver thread needle lace and soft wool knitted lace on the inside. The sleeves puff and taper to a silver lace cuff, the front embellished with silver lace and fastened with a line of small laced buttons. The train follows down from the bodice falling into a wonderful chapel train. The skirts are built up from a satin underskirt with inner knitted lace and outer organdy trim. The beautiful moire overskirt with silver lace detail, revealing some of the underskirt. (1)

A 1928 'ERTÉ' LACE BURLESQUE COSTUME This very delicate lace dress was part of a commission by Pierre Sandrini Owner and Proprietor of the well known burlesque club 'La Bal Tabarin', Montmartre (Later to become the Moulin Rouge). " Sandrini introduced ballet to his floor shows, and dress designs by 'Romain De Tirtoff' better known as 'Erté' transforming them into spectacular performances". The black silk lace falls from a low waist with inbuilt pants, to insure modesty although revealing almost all, embellished throughout with diamante. Beautifully constructed with a couture touch. (No Label) (There are a few tears in the lace and the elastic has gone). (1)

Waist 24" x 32" Bust x 52" Length. A pretty needle run lace bodice, boned and fastened with hook and eyes, labelled 'Alfred Lewis & Son Costumers and Bustle makers Taunton'. Waist 22" Bust 28". (2)

A 1930'S FRINGED EVENING DRESS A wonderful eau de nil heavy vintage satin dress. The sleeves taper to a cuff with a line of Nine embroidered buttons. The neckline has a band of crocheted trim holding a fringe of silk threads, following across the shoulder and half way down the sleeve. Fastened at the side with poppers. An 8.5" crocheted waistband runs around a drop waist, with a further fringe of silk threads. Waist 26" x 30" x 48". (1)
