French School a framed unsigned very well executed Oil painting on stretchered canvas depicting an aristocratic lady and her son under an arch at the foot of a staircase in a mansion interior, the landscape visible through an open doorway. The lady`s silk dress, her pearl necklace and a jewelled sash are remarkably well captured. A printed mark to the canvas verso reads, ``Rue de la Mich dor, No. 2 a Paris``, 14 1/4`` x 17 1/2``

Costume study of a young lady in 18th century dress, pen, ink & watercolour, heightened with bodycolour, 20 x 14 cm (8 x 5.5 ins) mount aperture, framed and glazed, together with two other small gouache studies on card by the same artist, including one ornamental design, and another small scene of a putto fellating a young man, 7 x 13 cm and sl. smaller respectively, plus other various framed prints and pictures, including linocuts by Nikos Stavroslakis, a group of mid-20th century studies of heads and figures in pencil, one or two watermarks of Fabbriano 1941, an indian ink portrait of Patrick Leigh Fermor by a Greek artist, dated 1946, one or two related exhibition catalogues and pamphlets, etc. (a carton)
