Prussian State Officials Dress Sword, gilt brass dish guard with white metal Imperial crowned eagle, plain knuckle bow and fluted pommel. Wire bound grip. Officers style dress portopee attached to the grip. Housed in its leather and gilt brass mounted scabbard. Slender single edged blade with etched decoration in the form of foliage, Imperial eagle and trophy of arms. Early style WKC makers trade mark to the base. Blade measures 77cms in length.
Imperial German Saxon Model 1867 Officers Dress Sword, with gilt folding guard having state coat of arms to centre, plain knuckle bow and steeped pommel top. Grip retains the original wire binding. Saxon type officers bullion embroidered and leather dress knot / portopee. Housed in its original black painted field service scabbard with single ring attachment. Double edged blade with central double fuller. Cipher to the base of the blade and further along “EISENHAUER GARANTIRT”. Blade measures 73cms in length.
Imperial German State of Mecklenburg-Schwerin Officers Sword, fine example of a lion head pattern Imperial German officers dress sword, with monogram of Frederick Francis II Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin to the langet, gilt knuckle bow with relief to the top section leading into lion head pommel. Original grip retaining the wire binding. Leather and bullion sword knot / portopee attached to the grip. Housed in its original steel scabbard with single ring fitting. Slightly curved single edged blade with etching of foliage and trophy of arms. Blade measures 79cms in length. Small dents to the scabbard and blade dull.
Imperial German Presentation Cavalry Sword, good untouched example of the jawless type lion head pattern officers dress sword, with langet having crossed swords and lances within wreath. Knuckle bow with relief in the form of foliage, trophy of arms and Iron Cross. Original grip retaining the wire binding. Attached to the hilt is the original leather and bullion sword knot. Single edged blade with etched to both sides and spine. Presentation inscription in gothic script, “Dem sergeant Peter als besten berittfuhrer der 5 Eskadron Dragoner-Regiments Prinz Karl im Jahre 1899 (Kaiser Mauover)”. Other side of the blade etched with foliage. Blade remains in good condition. The sword knot shows wear and has been repaired in places. Blade measures 80cms in length. Housed in the original steel scabbard with hanging straps and sword belt.
