A superb example of an Art Deco diamond dress clip craftsman made in white metal, can also be worn as a brooch or as two separate clips, with classic swags and chevron patterns picked out in baguette diamonds, eight cuts and brilliant cuts to a combined approximate total of 4.70cts. No hallmark or makers marks but clearly of very high quality. Approx dimensions 60mm x 33mm
A Herman Steiner doll, bisque head with closing eyes and synthetic brown hair, arms and legs bendable at joints, original white pinafore over blue gingham dress, lace detailing to bonnet and clothing, 44cm high; comes with black and white photo of original owner along with other accoutrements and provenance, Circa 1920
19th Century Chinese blue and white high shouldered case with wide 'onion' style neck, depicting warrior in full ceremonial dress holding an axe, a Kylin seated on a plinth stand at his side, inscription to stand and verso extolling the virtues of the warrior, elaborate Chien Lung mark to base, Zhuanshu script and dragons. CONDITION REPORT: Vase glaze is good and bright. There is a central luting line. There are no apparent chips, cracks or restoration but there is some scratching to the surface and some fine sparks from the kiln leaving black pinprick marks. Height 37cm.
Two late 19th century Chinese dolls, the wooden heads and limbs painted and wearing embroidered robes, 26cm CONDITION REPORT: The faces are in fairly good condition but chips to base of neck on green doll and scrapes to nose and eyelids. Blue doll has long scrape down nose and chips to eyelid. Greeen doll also has crack at wrist. Jointed legs on both appear ok. Robes slightly faded. Head of green doll not connected. Some minor cracking to fingers on both. Some wires/beading missing to head-dress, crest of hair missing to blue doll, edge of crest rough to green doll. Impressed mark to back of blue doll.
A late 19th century French gilt brass mantle clock, with porcelain panels depicting draped female figures in an Egyptian style, the face with Roman numerals, movement by Marti & Co. Clock height excluding wooden plinth 36 cm, width 22.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This clock is in original un-restored condition. The case is dirty and tarnished and some of the original lacquer and finish is missing particularly around the base. There are however no losses to the case which is structurally in good condition. The door is in good order and the glass not damaged. The front porcelain panel is in good condition with no issues. The left hand panel is in good order also. The right hand panel has a crack running across the piece from left to right across the bottom of the figures dress and the image is a little faded. The rear door is in good condition. The movement appears to be clean and complete. The clock winds on both trains. We have the pendulum but the metal strip is damaged and we have not had the clock running.
