(B.P. 21% + VAT) In good external condition. Wear and tear commensurate with use, not tested as working or otherwise.
BRITISH SCHOOL (19th Century), portrait of a young naval officer with gold epaulettes and medals, together with a portrait of probably his wife in lace trimmed dress with diamond brooch and gold guard chain (Admiral Philip Ber?? and his wife Eliza J Ber??), oils on canvas. 24 x 62cm approx. (2) (B.P. 21% + VAT) Both are in good condition commensurate with age. Very grubby, dusty and cobwebby particularly to back. Surface wear and crazing to both in places. Frames appear to match. Both have general losses commensurate with age.
TWO 1920'S FLAPPER DRESSES; one floral velvet with beaded flowers around the collar and skirt with 'Phoebe 17 & 19 Brompton Rd' label, the other pale green with embroidered foliate decoration. (2) (B.P. 21% + VAT)Both generally good condition for age. Sizes approximate while laid flat: velvet dress 50cm wide x 120cm long and green dress 46cm wisde x 96cm long.Green dress has some staining of underarms and very faint mottling of fabric around the neckline. Otherwise good and no major damage.Velvet dress - some minor wear of velvet and some of the lowest tier of silk crepe at the bottom has come away/is missing (some present but unattached). Crepe silk binding round arm holes is worn. Otherwise good and beading is in good condition.
A VICTORIAN BLACK AND BLUE BODICE AND SKIRT, black silk patterned with possibly leaves and blue silk central panel (damaged), together with a cream silk 19th Century dress with lace around the neck, puff sleeves and padded skirt and a similar era cream silk skirt and padded cream silk cape. COLLECTION OF VINTAGE CLOTHING (20'S-40'S) ; to include a 20's/30's black velvet skirt and floral jacquard jacket with velvet trim and button, a green spotty ball dress with gold belt and matching jacket and a pink patterned 40's dress. (5) (B.P. 21% + VAT) Jacquard jacket and velvet skirt - both generally good for age, both have one small part way through hole (possibly small burns) and some very small marks that mostly rub off, not lined. Inner waistband of skirt has some discolouring. Both wearable. Pink dress - good condition for age, some very minor small brown stains.Green spotty dress and jacket - both an interesting early synthetic fabric and probably hand made, flowers on both jacket an dress are slightly misshaped, jacket otherwise good. Dress -bow is loose, damage around button holes (small tear) and pin prick holes to bottom of skirt, otherwise ok.
19TH CENTURY BRONZED SPELTER FIGURAL FLOOR OR STANDARD LAMP, in the form of a woman in Grecian dress holding a lamp aloft, originally to hold an oil lamp, on an octagonal fluted base (probably French), 140cm high approx. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Overall rather grubby, no obvious damage noted. Minor splitting or manufacturing crack to the base of the lamp.
