WW2 German Luftwaffe 2nd Pattern Officers Dress Dagger with Knot and Hanging Straps, dagger with white celluloid grip retaining the wire binding. Original officers dress porteppe (knot) attached to the grip. Housed in the original scabbard with deluxe pattern hanging straps. The dagger is fitted with a artificial Damascus blade by Friedrichs, Solingen. We are of the opinion that the blade is a excellent quality post war representation and the hanging straps have been restored.

2x Large Whales Teeth with Engraved Scrimshaw Scenes, the first shows a large naval vessel on voyage with the reverse a maiden in traditional dress, lower section with plated bottom fitting making the tooth into a snuff box. The other shows a rowing boat being destroyed by a large whale with sailing ship in the back ground, dedication to the reverse “Acept dear girl this tooth from me. Carved by humble hand. I took it from a whales jaw A thousand miles from land – Remember the giver”. Scrimshaw not old, aged for effect.

Third Reich SA Dress Dagger by Paul Seilheimer Solingen, complete with the original wooden grip with enamel SA device and eagle inserted. Housed in its original scabbard with a leather hanger attached. The blade with standard motto, “Alles fur Deutschland” and the reverse with RZM logo and code M7/38 for the maker Paul Silheimer, Solingen. The blade has a presentation inscription “Zur Erinnerung an den 22.1.1940 der S.A. Reitertrupp, Neustadt a.T“. We are oft he opinion that the inscription and the leather hanger are both post war applied.

Original vintage advertising poster for the Creative Playthings toy shop in Manhattan, New York, designed by South African toy maker and illustrator Fredun Shapur (b. 1929). This is one of a series of ten posters created by Shapur, illustrating the different forms of play – dramatic, active, social etc – and the products available in the shop. In addition to going on sale at Creative Playthings, the poster designs were also used for wrapping paper and in the company catalogue. Shapur’s signature style – bold blocks of colour, androgynous faces, graphic simplified shapes – is evident in this design, which shows two children – one dressed in a white pinafore and green dress, the other dressed in blue – sat cross-legged, holding a purple teddy bear. Around them, a white square and a red triangle form the shape of a playhouse / wendyhouse, against a yellow background. Excellent condition. The film was directed by an Austrian director Fritz Lang in 1924, starring Paul Richter and Margarete Schon, featuring a great illustration of soldiers in zigzag pattern clothing with swords and shields in their hands standing with their backs to the viewer guarding a lady in a long dress and a crown with a diamond pattern on the ground and yellow background. The film follows the story of a sword forger Siegfried, son of King Siegmund of Xanten, wanting to win the hand of Kriemhild, the princess of Burgundy. Horizontal. Friedrich Christian Anton "Fritz" Lang (December 5, 1890 – August 2, 1976) was an Austrian-German-American film director, screenwriter, and occasional film producer and actor. One of the best-known emigres from Germany's school of Expressionism, he was dubbed the "Master of Darkness" by the British Film Institute.
