Covered in a layer of dirt and discoloured varnish. Pronounced craquelure in several areas which remains effectly stable (see images). Unless the blue pigment is behaving in a specific manner under UV, there is potentially later reinforcement through her right hand sleeve and parts of the skirt as shown on images. With likely patch of strengthening within the black of her lower skirts to the right of the striped pattern. Tiny amount of transferred gilt paint to upper left hand corner and odd general surface imperfection, etc.

An 18 carat white gold Lorenz Incabloc ladies dress wristwatch, the signed 12mm dial with single hand and baton hours, on a flexible gold mesh strap, 18g grossTicks, winds and adjusts ok. The strap is slightly bent just above where it meets the dial, but is not too obvious. Some light marks to the dial, visible under a glass. Case and clasp are both hallmarked. Dirty.

FLASH GORDON (1980) - Red Hawkwoman CostumeA red hawkwoman costume from Mike Hodges' sci-fi film Flash Gordon. Hawkmen and hawkwomen watched as Flash Gordon (Sam J. Jones) and Prince Barin (Timothy Dalton) fought a trial by combat on Vultans' (Brian Blessed) floating platform. This hawkwoman costume comprises a red textured metallic dress featuring a hand-painted black chevron motif; hand-sewn red sequins; a Velcro back closure; two intentionally made splits up the centre front and back; and an intentional hole above the midriff, front and back. Also included is a pair of handpainted wings, with glued sequins and beads, affixed to a brown leather bustier harness. The harness has layers of feather-shaped leather cutouts, glued and sewn red sequins and beads, and a strap at the front and back which would have fed through the holes in the dress to attach an undergarment beneath. The costume comes presented on a wooden clothes valet display stand. It exhibits areas of discolouration, dust and missing sequins and beads from production use and age.
