A 19th century silk sewing kit belonging to Queen Victoria By family repute with accessories and two early tartanware pin boxes, in a gilt frame, 44cm x 41cm; and two pieces of material from Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee dress, with two letters dated 1897, in a rosewood frame, 45cm x 48cm (2) Note: The sewing kit was the Queen's personal sewing kit and was presented to Sir James Reid her personal physician who travelled with her everywhere from 1881-1901. The Queens two Silver Jubillee dresses, one for the procession and another for the dinner afterwards were cut into pieces after the ceremony in 1897 and given to servants and others as souvenirs. These pieces were given to Sir James Reid and then by descent to his son who gave them to the present owner.
A large 1930's Goldscheider figure modelled after designs by Lorenzl as a lady in walking pose wearing an evening dress held at the hem and decorated with a stylised butterfly wing design all set to a circular stepped base, impressed, moulded and printed marks, height 39cm, restored. ILLUSTRATED.
