A modern Chinese hardstone and diamond dress ring, in yellow metal mount marked 18k, large green jade style stone with brilliant cut surround, 9.5g and size LSome very light scratches to the jade (not visible to the naked eye), some diamond tables are scratched with small chips to the crowns. The corner of one mount holding in place a single diamond in the surround is missing (see photograph). Light scratches to the gold, two small chips to the edge of the band.

Imperial German Photographs of Mostly Naval Interest SMS Condor circa 1900, album consists of cabinet and carte de visite type photographs of German sailors in uniforms with SMS Condor cap tallies on their caps. An interesting cabinet image of a African nobleman in native dress holding sword with Zanzibar photographers details. Some civilian and other military images within the album. Leather bound album with metal securing clip. (46 images) SMS Condor was an unprotected cruiser in the Imperial German Navy. Laid down in Hamburg in 1891 and launched in 1892. She spent most of her career with the German Fleet in East Africa. Returning to Germany in 1914, she was taken out of Military service and scrapped in 1921.
Fine Pre WW1 Imperial German Naval Photograph Album of China, Japan and Pacific Islands Interest, wonderful album detailing the career of a sailors service with the SMS Scharnhorst in the far east just prior to the outbreak of WW1. The album starts with a wide image of the sailors ship, then an image of the SS Konigin Luise which was sunk in 1914. Album continues with high detailed images of topographical interest in the Far east, clear images taken in the German occupied Tsingtao, China. Many images of life at sea with good clear images of other ships, crew members, Chinese national in German naval uniform. Very good image of a group of German sailors from the SMS Scharnhorst feeding milk to a baby Bear. Images of people of oriental origin in national dress, monuments, palaces, punishment of Chinese river pirates, Japanese Geisha girls, Japanese Samurai, etc. Towards the end of the album are images taken in the Pacific Islands with similar type images as taken in China and Japan etc. A few loose images of which a couple appear to be of a later period. Images all contained in an original Japanese lacquered photograph album of the period. (133 images) The SMS Scharnhorst was an Armoured Cruiser of the Imperial German Navy. She was built at the Blohm & Voss shipyard in Hamburg. She was commissioned into service on 24th October 1907. In 1909 she was assigned to the German East Asia Squadron and sailed for the German port of Tsingtao. The Scharnhorst replaced the Bismarck as the flagship of the Squadron. On her way to Tsingtao the ship stopped at Columbo and then Hong Kong. Whilst part of the East Asia Squadron she sailed on many trips around the various ports and the pacific colonies including German Samoa. After the outbreak of WW1 the Scharnhorst was involved in the successful Battle of Coronel before being sunk at the battle of Falkland Islands on 8th December 1914.
Selection of Imperial German Carte de Visites and Postcard Photographs, good images of the Kaiser and other members of the Imperial German Royal Family, officers and private soldiers in parade dress and field grey uniform, German naval sailor etc. All remain in good overall condition. (30 items)
Great War Royal Naval Air Service (R.N.A.S) Photograph Album, fine example compiled by Captain D H Carey RNAS, images are based around the area of Maidstone and the surrounding villages in Kent. Many interesting snap shot photographs of airmen in dress uniform of both the RNAS and Royal Air Force, early images of aircraft including early sea planes, photographs taken in the air and family shots etc. Many of the images are annotated with names of the various pilots and subject matter. Good images of crashed aircraft, including DH9 H4232 which crashed at Larkfield. Images of family life towards the back of the album which include shots of early motorcars and motorbikes etc. All housed in a period album, some pages loose. Images all remain in good overall condition. (315 images)
