(2 items)Attributed to Air Vice Marshal James Richmond Gordon-Finlayson DSO., DFC. a pre war regular in 1938 he was appointed ADC to the Governor of Kenya. At the outbreak of the war was posted to 211 Squadron and was awarded the DSO and DFC in 1941. Remaining with the RAF after the war he achieved Air Rank and died in 1990. Full dress was introduced in 1920, and discontinued at the outbreak of WW2.
